Publisher's Summary

One woman catches his eye....

London, 1819. Four years ago, Darius, the earl of Redgrave, fled London two weeks before his wedding to Lady Mary’s sister and married another woman. Now a widower, he has returned to seek a new wife.

At first, Lady Mary doesn’t recognize the handsome lord as the cad who ran out on her sister. After giving him the cut direct in a London ballroom, she finds herself running into him everywhere she goes and fighting a forbidden attraction. Not only has Mary sworn off men, Redgrave is so very wrong for her. But she cannot stop thinking of his kisses. Redgrave means to stay away from Mary, but it is impossible. Passion between two people who can never be together is a dangerous game.

A great end to the series

I must state that I believe this book is a great end to the series and perhaps one of the best in the series if not the best one. My only complaint is that the author uses the same coin of phrase in every book several times over. I’m sure new descriptives could be used and would improve the love scenes.

Love the whole series!

Loved the whole series! I thought the characters were hilarious and had great personalities. The stories were entertaining enough without stressing me out (LOL) - I like a bit of action and suspense but don’t like to feel to flustered - these stories delivered. I was always entertained and the books were easy listens. Narrator was fantastic!

Just Ok

It was just ok. Story is the same one we have heard o we and over. The narrator was clipped and the tone was off for some dialogue. Ie) angry sounding when it should be soft. I feel like I am being lectured, listen and you will know what I mean. But it was a free listen, so I did.

Sister's Ex

The premise of this story is very intriguing. Mary and Redgrave are interesting characters. I enjoyed their romance and the subplot. It was good to get to see the couple from the second book in the series and to get updates on how the other siblings are doing in their HEA. I didn’t like the 3rd act break up and how Mary behaved in the 3rd act. I also wanted more from the end of the book then what we got.

I listened to this book on audio and enjoyed it. The narrator did a good job.
