LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

The Horus Heresy series reaches its dramatic climax. After years of civil war, the Emperor and Horus clash aboard the Vengeful Spirit in an epic battle of blades, wits, and wills. See how the greatest conflict of the age plays out, and follow fan-favourite characters from across the saga as they desperately try to influence the outcome.

THE STORY

The Great Angel, Sanguinius, lies slain at his brother's hand. Terra burns as reality itself unravels, and the greatest bastion of civilisation teeters on the brink of annihilation.

Desperate defenders gather, banding against the rabid traitor hordes. The Hollow Mountain, host to the pilgrims of Euphrati Keeler, is one of the last redoubts held by the Dark Angels while the unclean host of Typhus lays siege. Malcador the Sigillite sits ablaze on the Golden Throne, trying to buy his master more time. But time is running out...

Guilliman races across the stars to reinforce the Throneworld. Will he return to ashes, where a Warmaster of Chaos has ascended to godhood, or will the Emperor have triumphed? And at what cost?

Dan’s the best!

This final services of the Siege is amazing. I think it’s great they just let Dan do his thing. Although I gave this the high marks, I would say for the last book I wish he would have been on all the characters more. That said it is suppose to be the story of Horus and the Emperor. I agree with some of the comments that this could have been done in vol 2 and vol 3 could settle all the rest of the arch’s. It’s epic and if your a real die hard fan then your going to love this! I’m sure there’s another series now to answer all the new questions this book leaves and I hope so!

Amazing end to one of the best series ever written

Just finished this book and for me this was an amazing experience capped off by this book. Every Siege.of Terra novel has.not disappointed me and this one was no different. With the massive complexity of multiple story arcs that do a brilliant job of making every character fleshed.out. the series is an emotional roller coaster and left me with way different views and opinions on all the key characters. even my favorite characters have changed and perspectives on the different chapters. if you only read or listen to one series this is my vote.

Im Not Crying, You Are!

A beautiful end to a tremendous series. It evokes emotion and a final delivery for what birthed the modern 40k setting post Heresy.

An Epic Conclusion

A masterpiece. That’s it, that is the whole review. An absolute bloody masterpiece. There is nothing left to say; it is the End and the Death.

Too long

this 3 part saga would have made 2 fantastic books. Too many characters and arcs that don't really go anywhere. When the big event actually happened, I had to go back and relisten because there were so many "not really!" moments I'd lost interest. it was hard to care about anyone, as the constant jumping from POV to POV stopped me being invested in anything. I know that just when a big event was going to happen it would smash cut to a parallel even.

I love ADB, and this could have been great, but I was just glad when it ended.

This could’ve been summed up in 1 book

Very drawn out, lots of plot points that don’t matter in the end. I felt the plot was all over the place. The ending was very lack lustre for a series that was 18 years in the making.

As always the narrator did a great job.

Only okay, and least favourite of the series.

I know the conclusion of the heresy was the battle between the Emperor and Horus but I honestly found this book too focused on them and for their battle to be the least interesting part. Several characters from the series were just forgotten as was the action and excitement of the series. In my opinion this entire book could have been a few extra chapters in part two. Overall just an unsatisfying conclusion to what was an awesome series.
