Publisher's Summary

With The Energy Cure, Dr. William Bengston presents astonishing evidence that challenges us to totally rethink what we believe about our ability to heal. Drawing on his scientific research, incredible results, and mind-bending questions, Bengston invites us to follow him along his 35-year investigation into the mystery of hands-on healing, and to discover a technique that may activate your healing abilities.

Part memoir and part instruction, this provocative book explores:

  • Bengston's paradigm-shifting experimental results and why they seem so difficult for some medical practitioners to accept
  • Image cycling, a unique preparation method for a hands-on-healing treatment
  • Why traditional Western medicine isn't always best, the value of skepticism, the strengths of energy medicine, and more....

The narrator is grown up Sheldon

The narrator is awful. He sounds like Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory. He doesn’t have correct rise and fall at the end of a sentence. I can’t stand it. It is like a machine reading it. Horrible. I want my money back. I can’t even listen to the book.

The Healing Method is explained in Appendix A

Though the narrator was somewhat dry and droning in his delivery, it still did not detract from the value of the book for me. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the road that led Mr. Bengston to the scientific study of energy healing in the first few chapters. Through this unexpected but welcome narrative, I was able to learn more about Ben (the healer) who I believe was was mentioned in both Lynn McTaggart's "The Field" and in Dawson Church's "Mind to Matter. The details about the scientific experiments throughout the book were fantastic IMO because they laid the foundation for the scientific credibility of energy healing. I was also happy that the author included interesting additional scientific notes in Appendix B. The entire Bengston energy healing method is outlined in detail in Appendix A.

Surprisingly awful

First of all, I have tremendous respect for the author and what he has done. Perhaps a different method of learning his material would be better.

However, I bought this book because I was interested in the energy cure technique, which was not taught at all. Instead... there were stories about mice. Endless stories about mice. You know how some academic books don't really even go there with the subject they just talk around it -- this is one of those. Don't buy it if you're interested in the energy cure, because it's not in there, figure out another way to learn it.

Also, gonna say that the narrator made me want to stick hot pokers in my ears.
