Motivated me for a week

Very technical book. I was motivated to give this a good try. I must say I did feel great the week I did it. My issue was commitment and my life style of my work life. There are too many times I must eat out and being Vegan is just tough. Maybe one day I will give it go again.

More science than expected

I wasn't sure about buying this book because I'm not a fan of diet programs and bought it expecting to take advantage of Audible's return policy. I was pleasantly surprised that this book was really a solid health book with lots of focus on the science. Even though it's a 7 day program, the information is applicable for an everyday low or lower fat whole foods plant-based/vegan diet. The PDF contains over 60 recipes and lots of tables and charts with supplemental information.

I only have two real criticisms of the book: (1) I wish Rip would have narrated the book himself. The narrator was good and grew on me over time, but Rip would have done a better job. (2) Rip mentions lots of medical studies throughout the book, but I was disappointed that I didn't find a list of references in the PDF so I could do some fact checking.

I'm not 100% sold on the necessity of a no-oil low fat whole foods plant-based/vegan diet for people who don't have heart disease, but I am sold on its benefits (with some added avocado, nuts and seeds) for good health and disease prevention in general. That said, I'm keeping the book and will be listening to it again.

Great book!

Any additional comments?

What a great book explaining the benefits of plant based eating. I learned so much from this book. FYI it comes with a PDF that you find in your library.

Amazing, just like Rip's other books.

I highly recommend this book. It has changed the way companies market food. It has changed me mentally, physical and emotionally.

Get RIPped with plant strong, expert advice!

I came to know of Rip through his dad and T Colin Campbell's work in thei documentary "Forks Over Knives." As a lifelong and plant strong athlete, no one comes with any more credibility than does Rip Esselstyn.

great info

the information is pretty standard its actually very interesting the personal stories and anecdotes and even the silly jokes from time to time or a nice change from the typical vegan suggestions and I hope you will get as much as I did. by the way sorry for the run-on sentence use the speaker thingy to make this.

Potentially great...stereotypical Vegan preaching

Stop with the rhetoric! If someone buys the book they are most likely interested already. There is no need for the over the top brow beating preaching rhetoric. Tell the story. Provide the facts. Stop the preaching!
