À propos de cet audio

The world moved on from runesmiths. Vivi didn’t.

A curse from birth has doomed Vivi to die when she turns eighteen. She’s a masterful runesmith, and if she could just convince arrogant ether hunters that her family has solved runeswords’ fatal flaw, she might earn enough ether to save herself.

When a rebellious spirit defies his handler to bond with Vivi, she becomes a fugitive, escaping capture only to land in an inescapable demonic prison.

The bright side? She’s an ether hunter now—with an endless supply of monsters from which to harvest ether, hone her spirit’s power, and finally test her runeswords.

But first, she must learn how to wield one.

Dive into an epic adventure following a hard-working, ruthless MC who pursues both crafting and combat while ignoring warnings about things being "impossible" or "forbidden."

Like all progression fantasies, MC starts out weak, but the problem is that the author tried too hard to make MC weak for drama, but ended up creating frustration and inconsistencies e.g MC is an experienced blacksmith who hammers out weapons for 15 years, but somehow she was so weak physically that she ended up getting bullied by every other kid in town. She was also supposed to have practiced extensively with the swords she made, but gained zero combat competencies. MC is also somewhat of a Mary Sue - made some dumb decisions, giving up, but ends up alright somehow.
The saving grace is that MC is a prodigy at crafting, which is well-written, and she showed growth throughout the book, which is gratifying. On top of that, the duet narration is awesome.
