Story
Syd Chambers grew up on Earth with his human mother and barely remembers his alien father from Denza, who left on a mission when Syd was very young. After leaving Earth, Syd learned the truth of his father’s disappearance on the planet Ashfall—his father had died protecting a devastating secret about the history between humans and Denzans. Syd is now faced with a choice—free humanity from imprisonment on Earth, which will allow them to come into physical power beyond their wildest dreams; or destroy Earth so that humans never have a chance to enslave and kill other species again.

Publisher's Summary
"I thought things would change when I found the others. We would stop running. We would fight the Mogadorians. And we would win.
"But I was wrong. Even though we have come together, we barely escaped from the Mogadorians with our lives. And now we're in hiding, trying to figure out our next move.
"The six of us are powerful - but we're not yet strong enough to take on their entire army. We haven't discovered the full extent of our Legacies. We haven't learned to work together. And there's still so much that we don't know about the Elders or their plan for us. Time is running out, and there's only one thing we know for certain: We need to find Number Five before they do.
"They caught Number One in Malaysia. Number Two in England. And Number Three in Kenya. I am Number Four. I was supposed to be next. But I'm still alive.
"This battle is far from over."

Great story
I loved these books when I was younger, but reading them a few years later I've noticed some inconsistencies in the story. Minor stuff for the most part but it can take you out of the immersion you get into while reading or listening to stories. Other than that though, the books are great.

Neil is close to ruining this.
A really fun story, if you ignore the writing style and focus on the story, that is on the borderline for me. Neil Kaplan's voice characterizations are so painful. This story would be so much better if he stuck with the Number 4 voice.
Sam sounds like a nerd with a permanently stuffed up nose. The girl voices are so very bad. Number 8 isn't done well but it's the least painful of his characterizations. Number 9 growls more than talks. It's a rough go when Neil is reading...but the other narrators do a great job.

Great book but
Without spoiling anything I am just disappointed at the trust and the compassion. This is war. There is little room for compassion. On to the next book-hoping that those big hearts get some luck.

now the author is just stringing us along...
Yes, more Guard, more legacies, more mogadorian encounters. Reunions & teenage attractions ...
But honestly, books in this series are too short & could have easily been combined. Unsure if Im willing to keep shelling out cash & credits for small pieces of pie, and not close to the series's 'ending'.
Oh, great performances from the narrators! They actually kept me listening. Great job.

A couple word change would make this a better read
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Yes this was time well spent, but I won't listen to it again.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fall of Five?
The most memorable moment for this book was the experience with Five at the tree however is was spoiled by the use of the "F" word.
Which scene was your favorite?
I liked the protection and healing of Six.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes
Any additional comments?
I still did not like the use of the "F" word in this book. It did not fit and the use of it was out of character with all of the books up to this point. There could have been a dozen other words used that would not be so offensive.

Awful.
Disliked the narration. I have purchased other audible books and have been pleased. But this was so awful that I could not even bring myself to finish. Going to read the book instead, cannot rate the story because I could not stand the narration.

Cash Grab Series
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Maybe, if they don't care about their money
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The story is interesting, they just need to get on with it. The title made it too predictable.
Did the narrators do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Some yes, some no. None of them were terrible, but there a little sub-par to many of the other audiobooks I have.
Was The Fall of Five worth the listening time?
Yes, just not the money. The last two books should have been combined as one book as they are short and fluffy.
Any additional comments?
I like the story - but the books are way too short for full price. I think Pitacus Lores legacy is the ability to string along a concise series into as many books as they can get away with.

not good compared to the last two books
Any additional comments?
don't really see myself listing to this book ever again, it was only worth a one time read. Story never even had one epic moment throughout the whole 9 hours, and had a bitter ending nothing really good to say about book 4 it just left me felling meh about the whole book,... simply put book 4 is worth one read and one read only!

Would you try another book from Pittacus Lore and/or the narrators?
I would try other books by Pittacus Lore. I think the narrators did a good job.
Would you be willing to try another book from Pittacus Lore? Why or why not?
Because I like the premise of the series storyline, I would be willing to try something else by Pittacus Lore.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narrators let you feel the calmness of Sam and the craziness of number 9.
Could you see The Fall of Five being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I cannot see The Fall of Five being made into a movie because it was boring.
Any additional comments?
Compared to the first three books, The Fall of Five was a disappointment. It was a little boring, did not show any type of progression towards becoming ready to fight a war. Had them doing stupid things, like having all of them go to retrieve a box especially when # 4 could fly fast and leaving the two unconscious guards practically unguarded. It was so obvious that something was wrong with the new guy.

Pretty horrible development
Where does The Fall of Five rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
close to the bottom..This book was quite a let down...I figured out who was the spy from the previous book...it was shockingly obvious
Would you be willing to try another book from Pittacus Lore? Why or why not?
Yes hopefully the next book will make up for the atrociousness of this one
Which scene was your favorite?
when 5 gets stabbed in the foot
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
please don't watch me
Any additional comments?
The I hope the Lorien get smarter because except something is glaringly obvious they never think of it.
