Disillusioned businessman, John Lawrence Locke, finds himself summoned as a hero to another world, filled with monsters and magic! With his body reverted to the age of 15, the 33-year-old's mind is filled with the possibility of battles and adventures, like the ones in his favorite video games.

Enjoyed quite a bit
Very similar to shield hero, from the outcasted summoned hero and using slaves in battle, but that being said the story is more mature than shield hero and characters are interesting, and narration is good to boot.

I love it. Definitely worth it.
A lot like rising of the shield hero but more mature. Narration is good imo. Love the characters

Wait, what?
Ok, I thought it was going to be liiiiiike Shield Hero. I didn’t think it would be the Walmart version of it, down to the sprinkles. I mean, it’s good, but it’s the same story, just narrated by a simp.

Overall Mediocre
A good example of why borrowing too much from one source doesn't work well. Initially, it's almost a copy of shield hero. It's set up the same way, but leaves out certain things that actually made the shield hero plot work. For example, the main character has major trust issues which works in shield hero because there was quite a bit of loaded betrayal that would conceivably give some trust issues, but here not so much, he pretty much just gets instantly rejected as the hero instead of being implicated in false charges, which makes the reason he enslaves every girl he sees somewhat suspect quoting his 'trust issues' which are only a thing because it's copied from shield hero. It would have made more sense for him to just think 'because I want slaves'. it's a really lazy excuse to make every girl a slave girl to the MC.
Also, this is some very not so subtle lolicon as a warning and probably the main reason I'm not continuing the series. I mean, there is absolutely zero reason to have the elf stop/slow aging at apparent age 10 other than the author wants a charter to always look like a 10 year old. eckk.
The ramdom events of virtue signalling don't really mesh with the character at all. The actions are often inconsistent with his internal dialogue.
There are a lot of other issues I won't get into, but the last one is the absolutely atrocious narrator. randomly speeding up, injecting way too much emotion at inappropriate times, mispronouncing every 4th word, editing errors all over the place.
It's a wonder I even made it half way through.
