Was a clear plagiarism of Name of the Wind. Well told as fan fiction but in no way could be considered an original work

NOTW fan fiction

Sure it's insanely similar to NOTW. clear ripoff. I don't care. Rothfuss burnt all bridges and I am listening to this out of spite. If the 3rd book in this series never comes out like KKCs it will be disappointing but also hilarious.
I will recommend this book to others over NOTW everytime. 5 stars because I imagine that if a person read this without reading NOTW they would find it interesting instead of hilarious.

this is such a fun read but I think I liked the original version of it (the name of the wind ) the author changed a few thing but it's very easy to see it's a copy of Patrick Rothfuss

fun story for a copy of someone else's work

The jacket cover of this held so much promise. Then, as I read, I could predict with accuracy what was going to happen as so many plot points developed. My enjoyment of this book became wholly overshadowed by how much of it was just “this is what happened in The Name of The Wind”. While it held so much promise, and even delivered an interesting world, and universe, I have been truly disappointed by this work.
Narration though, was very well done.

Very clearly a copy of The Name of the Wind. If you've read Rothfuss, the story is predictable and plays out in nearly the exact same order. Very disappointing.
