Along the way they get shot at, kidnapped, buried, arrested, threatened, killed (temporarily), and discover that the strongest bond in the world is not the one forged by covalent electrons in adjacent atoms, but the one that exists between a pair of twins. As always Eoin Colfer creates a vivid world full of magical creatures. Nathaniel Parker did a great job of distinguishing between the twins and the story was a fun, if a little nostalgic, ride back into the fairy world with a whole new set of characters which references to the original characters we know and love. He has set up a great beginning to the sequel to the original Artemis Fowl books with the younger generation. I’m excited to journey further into this world!

Not that bad, but not as good as the Atremis Fowl series. I found the writing in this story to be slightly confusing at times, and I didn't like how Nathaniel Parker did Beckett's voice; it was really annoying. otherwise, I enjoyed it.
