Publisher's Summary
Detective Houser wants nothing more than his retirement, but when a murder case involving the WMM firm lands on his desk, he can’t avoid it.
All of law enforcement knows that WMM Advertising, also known as We Make Millionaires, is one of the biggest and hardest-to-penetrate fraudulent telemarketing firms in the state of Georgia. A tape recording of a man’s death may finally help Houser make a case against the firm. Calling in Alexis Greenspan, a.k.a. Nina Coles, the top sales associate in the company, Houser is determined to use her to find out the company’s secrets—no matter who’s hurt in the process.
Wahida Clark was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey. She began writing fiction while incarcerated at a woman’s federal camp in Lexington, Kentucky. Her first novel, Thugs and the Women Who Love Them, and the sequel, Every Thug Needs a Lady, appeared on the Essence best-sellers list. Since her release, she has achieved much success, and her novel Payback with Ya Life was a New York Times best seller. She lives in East Orange, New Jersey.

Dragging...
I didn't bother to listen till the end of the book. It just didn't capture my attention like her other books. What a shame because I really do like Wahida's writing.

Why was this book apart of this series?
I enjoy the first two and love the cliff hanger at the end of each book so I was looking forward to this book! so disappointed returned it FAST! you have to many characters in your books and it's hard to keep them all together!

GOOD BOOK
I really liked the story line, but Cary Hite is getting too comfortable... The cheesy intro music into the chapters and the how animated he gets is over the top.

What a story!
Get this book, you won’t regret it. Hustle is the name of the game, you better learn the rules or end up getting played. This was pretty funny too. Cary Hite has the perfect storytelling style for street lit. This was my first Wahida Clark book and I’m very pleased.

🤨
This mess was so cheesy and unnecessarily animated. This must be the old Carey Hite cuz the more recent narration are trash… but imma go ahead and listen to part 2🤷🏾♀️😂😂😂😂

The story was good BUT
I wanted to give 5 stars but I do think it just didn’t measure up to the Payback series ! Don’t get me wrong the story line was good and the end got me in my feelings for sure… I cried and got so angry ! However, when I read the payback series (my first Wahida Clark books I’ve ever read) I cried, I laughed, I was excited, I was all the emotions and I felt like I was watching a movie. With the golden hustla, it was good for sure but it wasn’t like omg I need the next one. Idk I’m torn because it wasn’t bad at all, it just wasn’t what I expected. Definitely worth the 4 stars, the story line was good. Just took a minute for me to get into it.

I loved this story line
I absolutely love the narrator Cary you are awesome this book is really good cause nobody ever talks about telemarketer’s in a story line and the fact that it seemed so real. The fact that in any office there’s a bunch of chatter and talk but yes I enjoyed this book definitely one I’ll listen to again

I enjoyed it
This was a unique and wild story that was definitely not predictable. Kudos to Wahida for creating such a believable cast of characters who are all shady as hell. I enjoyed it from beginning to end and will probably look into reading the other installments I see are to this title.
