Publisher's Summary
Hosts of the award-winning Whine Down podcast, Jana Kramer and Michael Caussin explore the raw and real moments of their marriage - what it means to love, to fight, and to sincerely forgive - with spiritual guidance and practical advice for anyone seeking stronger, more fulfilling love.
From the beginning, Mike and Jana had the kind of everyday arguments that drive even the happiest couples apart. Money, careers, insecurity, jealousy...and then kids, infidelity, addiction, and growing walls around their individual hearts. Many people would have separated. But Jana and Mike discovered something invaluable: While fighting under the worst possible circumstances, they learned how to fight for each other with respect, kindness, humor, and faith.
The Good Fight reveals how one couple decided to honor their forever love by battling it out and staying together, told from both sides. With honesty, warmth, and hilarity, Jana and Mike walk us through the details of the most complicated fights of their past. They show listeners how they've communicated, prayed, forgiven, and radically embraced each other to live their happiest, most fulfilling lives possible, and offer lessons anyone - married, dating, single - can use to give and receive lasting love.

Could’ve been a short article and not a book
This is a book of repetitive “it takes two” which is so cliche plus it has a ton of profanity. Most of us who need help in marriage arguments past the perfect honeymoon stage, have children. Because of f***(and no it’s not forgiveness)in the very other sentence, I couldn’t even turn it on in the car with the kids around. Thumbs down. Waste of Audible credit.

A husbands POV
I’ve not read or listened to this book. I do know this, as a husband who’s wife is, if you want to find issues in your marriage where there were none, or resolved, read/listen to this book. I have over heard parts and that is enough for me. I hope Jana and Michael make though I’m not optimistic. My wife and I have been married 25+ years and together 30+, so I have a little experience in this matter. A large issue with marriages today is no privacy or respect for that. Jana and Michael live in a fish bowl and that’s unfortunate and unfair. Their marriage like every marriage has had issues and rather that working these out privately they are doing it publicly. Sometimes, often times, people’s private lives need to be just that. My guess is sometime in the future there will be a lot of resentment in their relationship over this airing of dirty laundry. Again, I hope and will try to remember to pray that’s not the case for them. I’m sure Jana’s intent is to help others in marriage struggles but my bet is there will be a cost. I also hope that in the future those outside their marriage will respect their marriage enough to stay out of it. What God has joined let no man come between. This directly applies to those reporting and gossiping about others marriages. Again, if you go looking for issues be careful of what you might create. Just one husbands POV.

Not as expected at all
They read the book fine, but the actual content was lacking and very different from what I was expecting. Would not recommend.

Great!
Loved this. My husband and I have completely different struggles within our marriage but the openness of Jana and Mike has really opened my eyes to ways my husband must feel and ways I can express myself to him. Recommend to anyone wanting to better themselves and their relationships

Loved the profanity & repetitive lessons !!
I listen to the entire book in one day. In my household mommy get’s to put head phones in for 1 hr a day and disappear, on this particular day the kids played perfectly together and I found some productive projects to do and all of a sudden 5hr + 24 min flew by ! You can hear in their voice they want their experience to help others, they will always be a work in progress like all marriages but they are REAL and not afraid to share it! Their dirty laundry was spread all over magazines & social media for people to read and judge but they cannot say SHIT in their own book ??? (Calling out past reviews of this book) They are human. I love Jesus but I also cuss a little, I am human. The repetition is what therapists use to make sure that important stuff sticks in your head. I love everything about this book. Perfect Marriage, New Marriage, Shitty Marriage, Failed Marriage, Damaged Marriage, Work in Progress Marriage.... this book is for all of you ! So many points in this book have stuck with me and I know I will use in my future when it comes to my relationship with my husband (10 years married, 15 years together 22 years we have loved each other ) Take my advice, throw some headphones in once a day and disappear into something productive, your mental health & family will thank you

So real!!!
This was absolutely incredible!!! So relatable and really opened my mind up to my mistakes and the things I do unintentionally or even subconsciously!!! We are the marriage that our friends strive for, but is not perfect and The Good Fight is exactly what we have done thru our trials and tribulations but this took it to a whole new level and truly made me realize when I’m ready to give up this marriage and love is worth it because we have been fight The Good fight this whole time
Thank You from the bottom of my heart Jana and Mike you 2 are truly an inspiration!!!

Ehhhh... mixed reaction
There were things that I really liked about the book. I liked hearing some of the story from both perspectives. I liked that they shared some useful tools for others such as the acronym for “fight”. I didn’t love the excessive use of the word “f*ck”. I get that it can be used for impact... like maybe when Jana found out about the infidelity, but it was way overused. I also cringed at some of the details (such as Mike a hotel with another woman) since their children will someday probably read the book. Some specific details could be left to their imagination. Overall, I liked the book fine. I didn’t love it or hate it.
