About this listen

War is but an Opportunity

After experiencing death and an irreversible transformation, Adelheid must juggle between hiding her new inhuman nature with her wish to become the next ruler of the Vuldar Empire. Her greatest rival for the throne, William von Vuldar, has already joined the battlefield, but she has to play catch up. She must use all resources and grab every opportunity to join the war and rise above.

However, only those in war will learn that everything has a cost.

the story is good. I dislike the new voice actors. the gals good when doing voices or accents but I dislike her base line narration. the other one opposite his base is OK but his voices are odd. just my opinion.

voice actors changed between books

parts of this book felt slow, but I get the feeling we are building towards a nice big conflict and some new information about the ancient magic kingdom. i look forward to learning more as it comes out

Building up

Adelheide turning into a vamp turned the mc into a static character imo. which means there isn't really an mc anymore.

it's kinda a jj abrams "What's in the box? Nothing!" sort of plot.

A character who walls themselves off from the world should be punished by the story not rewarded.

Like, what was the point of the train part of the story?

And the mc never making up with her father really drives this sort of monotone character. The story talked about the mc being motherless and then didn't do anything with it. like it's the relationship within the tech, fantasy, and battle, that really drives the story forward. without it, it's pretty bland.

kinda getting bored
