Sad to be done this series

I really liked Sam's characters, story, and Gildart's performace. I've been into medieval things lately and this has been my favourite audiobook series so far. I enjoyed the chumminess and heart of the characters, the adventure, and the playful writing style. I plan on exploring more of Feuerbach's writing. Jackson's impressions and voice really suited the storyworld and brought it to life aurally.

a satisfying conclusion to an entertaining series

This isn't the greatest work of fantasy ever written but it's very entertaining and worth the hours invested to listen to it. I'm happy with the direction the series took and am pleased with the wrap up. Good work all round.

Only one thing...

just sadthere isn't more. the plot concludes well; I just wish we got more knowledge about Faryn and Aross' wishes they gave to the king. Faryn grew so much as a person and I would have loved to hear of his relationship with the girl from the fishing village. but I always have my imagination to tell more...
