Publisher's Summary

Debut author Sally Thorne bursts on the scene with a hilarious and sexy workplace comedy all about that thin, fine line between hate and love.

Nemesis (n.)
1) An opponent or rival whom a person cannot best or overcome.
2) A person's undoing
3) Joshua Templeman

Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She's charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual.

Trapped in a shared office together 40 (ok, 50 or 60) hours a week, they've become entrenched in an addictive, ridiculous never-ending game of one-upmanship. There's the Staring Game. The Mirror Game. The HR Game. Lucy can't let Joshua beat her at anything—especially when a huge new promotion goes up for the taking. If Lucy wins this game, she'll be Joshua's boss. If she loses, she'll resign. So why is she suddenly having steamy dreams about Joshua and dressing for work like she's got a hot date?

After a perfectly innocent elevator ride ends with an earth-shattering kiss, Lucy starts to wonder whether she's got Joshua Templeman all wrong.

Maybe Lucy Hutton doesn't hate Joshua Templeman. And maybe he doesn't hate her either. Or maybe this is just another game.

so much fun

the narration was good, the story was adorable, and the over experience left me in a great mood.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I see some reviews discussing the lack of realism in this book, or the lack of "depth" in the characters. Firstly, if they went anymore in depth I would have been bored. This is supposed to be a light fun read, and that is exactly what it is. I found the writing and wit, to be much more appealing then the Sophia Kinsella book I had previously read. These books are fun, funny, heart fluttering and dreamy. If you're not a romantic who thrives on the highs and lows of a good story, this may not be for you. The details and description paints a picture of every scene so intimately. The metaphors and comparisons of movements & emotions created lasting impressions for me.

I loved it, and I'm very sad that its over. Time to find another one!

Good book, great narrator

I loved this book (although it was a little bit predictable)! The narrator does a FANTASTIC job and makes the whole experience even better !

Heartwarming, easy listen.

This had all my favourite tropes of enemies to lovers. Katie as the narrator had distinct voices for each character which really helped bring the story to life. If you’re looking for a heartwarming, sexy story this is the one for you!

I keep coming back to this book!!!

I bought this ebook and loved it. I listen to a lot of audiobooks so I bought it again on audible. It's funny, engaging, has just enough emotional depth to be real but not depressing and has a happily ever after. Such a keeper!
