I really enjoyed the story—the mystery, the twists, and the narration were all excellent. Some reviewers mentioned inaccuracies with names (like Vancouver vs. Vancouver Island) or trail descriptions, but as a Canadian, that didn’t bother me at all. It’s a fictional story, not a documentary, and I was fully along for the ride. Thank you

I was expecting a good psychological thriller, but wow! There were a couple of unexpected turns to the story that I didn’t see coming.

This was a very good book, a bonus considering I got it in the Plus catalogue! Worth a credit for sure. Not deep literature, just an entertaining story and good narrator.

This was a great book, well written, and interesting until the end. I realize an author can take artistic license, but the West Coast trail is on Vancouver ISLAND, not in Vancouver. As an islander, it wound have been nice to hear the correct details.

loved the reader. did not like that it referred to the west coast trail as being on Vancouver, it is on the north end of Vancouver Island.

I thought the reader did a great job, with the exception of the “Canadian accents” haha! They tried though and I appreciated that! :)

Can’t tell if I was tired and missed a big reveal or just made an assumption at the beginning but it wasn’t until near the end that I realized “the switch up” and wondered if I had to go back and listen to everything all over again..? Story didn’t need it and it got a bit muddled and the end felt like they had to wrap it up real quick and it wasn’t in step, pacing-wise with the rest of the book.
Still a good listen even though it had so many things trying to happen at once to force depth.

I found myself confused a few times and it could be that I was listening at night and fell asleep and had to jump back to previous bookmarks a few times- but I donno… I don’t usually find myself so lost lol. Additionally, small silly note but the narrator does a hilariously shabby job of a “Canadian” (north American) accent. It made me wonder if us Canadians sound that ridiculous to Brit’s when we put on English accents haha

Overall, this was ok- 5/10. Not terrible, not great. It wont be a particularly memorable story for me.
