Publisher's Summary

By day, Holly Hudson’s a story editor for Wifetime Network. By night, she’s the writer for the network’s very cheesy, very straight holiday romance series -Christmas in Evermore. Holly took the job to accomplish exactly one thing: A gay Christmas movie. She’s been shot down before, but things start to look up when Meredith Drake unexpectedly moves into the network’s holiday division.

On the heels of a brief (but totally hot) fling, Holly and Meredith agree to keep things professional now that they’ll be working together. Especially since the network has a strict policy about workplace relationships. Instead, they vow to channel their passion into a pitch for the network’s first Christmas movie to feature two female leads.

In this contemporary romance, Holly and Meredith work to make the Yuletide gayer while discovering that happy endings aren’t only for the movies.

Brilliant

I Loved this story so much!! So much so, that I'm listening to it again! The characters were brilliant and funny! There were so many laugh out loud moments and some gut wrenching tearful ones.
And Lori Prince has truly outdone herself with this narration!! She never fails, but this was spectacular!
If only this book could be made into a movie!!

Elle Spencer does it again!

Another hit! This book has everything you expect from Ms Spencer: MC’s you’ll love, the best banter and sharp dialogue, entertaining secondary characters, and a story you can escape in too and don’t want to ever end.

So cheesy and sweet and fun and great!

I literally laughed out loud. Elle Spencer creates fun, sexy, entertaining characters and stories that you can just enjoy and Lori Prince is amazing at bringing them to life. Holly is adorable and Meredith is smokin hot. More please!

Don’t miss reading this book. Really!

Oftentimes a book will have me chuckling to myself, but this book’s witty dialog and crazy antics had me flat out laughing out loud! It has it all—the romance, the Christmas spirit, the quick comebacks and just the right amount of angst leading up to the happily ever after. Please do yourself a favor and listen to Lori Prince do justice to this outstanding story.

Disappointed

It started out good but turned super cheesy and not very believable towards the end. I normally really like Elle Spencer’s books but this one missed the mark☹️

Plenty of fun, but a lot of holes

This is a meta-book: a lesbian Christmas romcom about a woman trying to make a lesbian Christmas romcom because there are no lesbian Christmas romcoms. If that sounds like fun, yep, it is! Go ahead and listen, you won't be sorry. But in all honesty, the book also feels rushed and messy in parts, like the usually polished author was desperately trying to get it published in time for the holidays.

A major plot point keeping the couple apart is never solved, but simply ignored. A side-character romance is carefully set up and then forgotten about altogether. Etc. Despite the book's many delights, I got sidetracked by waiting for resolution on some questions that never came.

The narrator was great overall, but I docked a star for her reading of Meredith. She's supposed to be a poised, powerful, intimidating businesswoman, and that didn't come through at all.

Absolutely amazing

One of the best books I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. I laughed so hard at some parts. Truly amazing. Worth a read or listen as it so were.

Good Book

Felt disconnected at times and maybe a little rushed toward the end. Overall it was good, but with connecting and transitional details would be great.
