Publisher's Summary

The fight to free the Earth from alien domination began in Live Free or Die, and continued in Citadel. Now Tyler Vernon and his troops aboard the gigantic battle station Troy face a desperate battle with the forces of galactic tyranny. And the very survival of the Earth and its people is not all that is at stake. The galaxy itself must choose to live free or die - and if the tyrants win this battle, darkness will fall across the galaxy for millennia to come.

Awesome hard sci-fi.

Great story and fantastic performance. As an ex-navy non-com found lots of fun stuff with the space navy.

Facinating story..Great job by reader.

I found the story to be facinating because of the multiple view points..The reader did a great job.. Liked characters. Also liked explanations of science terms.

A great series to start folks off with.

I have gone through this series so many times that I have lost track. I recently introduced it to my father, and now he has joined the "When is John Ringo gonna put out the next book" brigade. Thanks John for a series that is worth going over and over again and is always as wonderfully exciting as the first time.

Best of the three!!!

Really, I have listened to this series maybe 10 or 12 times already!! Love it love it love it!!! I doubt Mr Ringo is going to write a follow up to this series (or complete my second favorite storyline, and complete the Legend of the Aldenatta) so I am hoping somebody writes some fan fiction. But either way the series does a good wrap up and really is fantastic!! Thank you!!!

Ignore the poor reviews. Book 3 only gets better.

Yes a majority of the book deals with the realistic issues of mixing cultures and creating an Alliance Space fighting force. So that only adds to the overall depths and richness of the Troy books. There is still fighting and evil aliens. Ringo does an excellent job maturing and giving substance to older characters, while still broadening the world with new blood. I personally think this is his best Troy book. And that is because he has used the other two books to add, blend, and stew his creations into a deeper complex story worthy of our time and interest.

Good to the last drop

I sincerely hope there is at least one more book coming in this series. Many important aspects of the story could easily be continued. My biggest complaint is that this story proved to be such a 'page turner' that I blew through it far to fast.
