Good story line but the MC can be so irritating

I swear the main character gets pretty stupid sometimes for someone so intelligent she lacks common sense when it comes to her and Adrian and her laying on the witches bed like the witch came back and found a piece of hair, evidence she could use that to track her and bam kill her.
