I love most Bertrice Small books, this book with Elf and her acceptance of change and true love. The protagonist is evil enough to make it interesting and Elf has enough spirit to show being good doesn’t make you a doormat.

this is one of the best romance novels I have read. the main lead is a bit young but that was the time yiu lives in and this book was written ages ago.

I bought this title mostly based on the author's Border books. There were some interesting descriptions of the times, the setting, as well as some character development. But the unrelieved evil of the female villain and the overdone scenes of sexual violence left a bad taste in my mouth.
