Publisher's Summary

A new, sexy stand-alone from number one New York Times best seller Vi Keeland.

The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city.

Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts.

I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time.

Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was. You see, that unexpected invitation I received? Well, it hadn’t actually been addressed to me - it was sent to my ex-roommate who’d bounced a check for two months’ rent and moved out in the middle of the night. I figured she owed me an expensive night out, but I guess, technically, I was crashing the wedding.

Once caught, I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. As I bolted for the door, I might’ve plucked a few bottles of expensive champagne off the tables I passed, all while the gorgeous, angry groomsman was hot on my tail.

Outside, I jumped into a taxi. My heart ricocheted against my ribs as we drove down the block - but at least I’d escaped unscathed.

Or so I thought.

Until I realized I’d left my cell phone behind at the table.

Take one guess who found it?

This is the crazy story of how Hudson Rothschild and I met. But trust me, it’s only the tip of the iceberg.

Voices meshed well with story

Enjoyed the storyline and audio. The voice actors portrayed there characters and emotions very well. Had me laughing out loud. Went too fast.

It was just okay

About halfway through I realized I wasn’t halfway through and there was only 2 hours left. I feel like this could have been great if it was fleshed out more. There’s only 2 semi-significant side characters and they don’t really have their own stories besides propping up the MC’s. And even their back stories were closed over. Overall, if you’re into fluff with cardboard characters then this ones for you.

A fun, feel good romance

Vi Keeland's books have been my go-to reads for fun, unique meets, emotional twists, chemistry galore and just simply feel good stories. The invitation ticks all these boxes, of course. Stella meets Hudson when she and her best friend Fisher crash a wedding. Stella and Hudson hit it off immediately, but Hudson realizes quickly that Stella is not who she portrays to be. In her haste to run from the wedding, Stella leaves her cell phone. This prompts a chain of events that changes all of their lives more than you can imagine.
I loved Stella's unique job, quirks, jabber and her diary reading. And Hudson's unwavering way of going after her. I love the narrators, they are the best.

Good

Well written, Good story, all plot points were obvious, and the female could be a bit irritating with her over analysing just to have book drama.

Female narrator good, male I really really disliked. His voice just grated on me and I feel he was completely miscast. That opinion was reinforced as he read the sex scenes.

I'd give him a one star for performance.

Their "Chemistry" was off the chart!

Stella and Hudson's story was funny, heart-warming, heart-breaking and just fun. I loved how funny the story was told and is - Andi and Sebastian are great! The characters felt really developed, like people I'd want to know and be friends with.
Once again, another hit from Vi!

beginning and end

I really liked the beginning and the end but got a bit bored in the middle. the slow burn and fighting the attraction part became a little mundane and boring. it picked up in the end but I would have liked more plot twists or grit somewhere in the middle.

One of my favourites!

I did this one as an audio and I loved it, the narrators were fantastic, they are some of my favourites and I just flew through this, I didn't want to stop listening!

With her BFF, Stella decides to crash a wedding at the New York Public Library. Out of character for her, but she figured what's the worst that could happen. There she meets Hudson, the brother of the bride, and he is quick to catch on that she isn't who she is pretending to be! When their paths cross again, Stella is determined to prove Hudson wrong about her and do whatever it takes to launch her own perfume line.

This was such a fun read! The meet cute between Stella and Hudson was hilarious and I loved how their romance unfolded, the pacing was spot on and the chemistry between the was electric. Stella was such a strong FMC and I loved how she didn't back down and really held her own against Hudson. Hudson had me swooning, he was so grumpy but had such a soft side and I just loved him! And the twists with this one, some I didn't see coming!

The writing, as always was perfection, Vi creates such relatable and dymanic characters and it is so easy to get lost in her words, I really have a hard time putting her books down! Vi is a comfort read for me, she was one of the first authors I started reading when I got back into romance and I love picking them up and they are always great reads!
