I really enjoyed this book. I learned a few things about medieval battle. Excellent narration.

I really enjoyed listening to this story. It was fascinating to learn about Jaquetta and her life. I found it interesting that magic could be relied upon and condemned at the same time. Jaquetta was right to fear that being a woman with some power was a dangerous thing in those times. It reminded me about the book called The Lost Queen by Signe Pike that takes place only a few hundred years earlier when women were allowed to hold power and were encouraged to harness the sight if they had it. I plan to read the next book in the Tudor series.

Loved this story from beginning to end. A must read if you are interested in the War of the Roses era. This is the prequel…Jacquetta is truly the wise woman of this era.
