Publisher's Summary
From the number one New York Times best-selling author of A Walk to Remember, a heartwarming story about family connection and first love, in which a rebellious teen's life is upended when her divorced parents spend the summer together in a North Carolina beach town.
Seventeen-year-old Veronica "Ronnie" Miller's life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Wilmington, North Carolina. Three years later, she remains angry and alienated from her parents, especially her father...until her mother decides it would be in everyone's best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie's father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church.
The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story of love on many levels - first love, love between parents and children - that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that love can break our hearts...and heal them.
Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Heartwarming
Another fantastic novel by Nicholas Sparks! The thought and creativity of this author simply awes me, as a listener. The spirituality written within this novel was, indeed, heartfelt and heartwarming. Galatians 5:22 is forever etched into my brain and I love this simple fact. Love, of course, being the most important of all!
Please keep writing, Nicholas!!!!

loved it.
Loved this one. I need a clean, feel good love story occasionally. I spent 15 years in coastal NC. Love the Ocean sounds and local references.

Ok
Story was not my cup of tea. I read it as I am a big fan of Mr Sparks & his talent allowed me to continue with the story till the end
A nice story … but for me … didn’t have the impact that his books normally have
Just ok

The Last Song
I did watch the movie first and enjoyed it very much. Was surprised how the piano was played by the teenage star and I could not understand how they would find someone able to act and play for a movie. Well I checked this out and it was a well known young star.
The book has much background music and do not like this in the Audible books. Story is very good and glad I was able to see and hear both.
Jonah and Ronnie made a good typical story of their ages. I have just read that the Booktrack Edition of Nicholas Sparks books did have the music and did not know I had an option to purchase the book that was not with music.
Jonah and Ronnie were very typical of the ages it seemed, they were just the opposite of each other.
Loved learning about the Endangered Sea Turtle laying her eggs in the upper beach. Protecting them till they would hatch was very important. I missed the name of this Sea Turtle species.
Worth the listen and well written, thank you.

The story
The story started slow, the last thing I wanted to listen to is a sullen teenager. However the story picked up and I couldn’t put it down.
