One of my favourites.

I've always loved this story and Ted Danson does a great job, I just wish the background music wasn't so loud; makes it hard to hear the story.

Distracting

There is loud music playing over the story. My kids were super distracted and lost interest almost immediately. Bummed because they love this story, but this version is very hard to listen to.

A classic, but...

What is up with the music? It was distracting and didn't fit. Otherwise, we love this story!

Odd Music Choice

Wonderful naration, excellent pace, and well performed voices. But the music choice? Very strange: it does not fit the story well and is far too loud.

A Dr. Suess for all times - especially these times

I always recoomend Dr Seuss books for young readers. The rhythmic, repetition of rhyme and sounds help students appreciate the sound of written language. The imaginative and poignant stories also help children fall in love with books. The Lorax, in particular, gives an important message for families to talk about. In this age of global climate change and environmental awareness, this book will captivate children and give adults a way to talk about issues that kids are aware of in a way that childen can access.

Quite bad

Found this to be very poorly produced. Constant musical theme seemingly louder than the narration. found it to be very distracting from the story. Story not as good as most for the audio format.

Love this story.

Ted Danson's voice is lovely and familiar narrating this story which we already love. My children love listening to it at bedtime.

Great story for the kids

Other than than the music being too much in my opinion it was a great story. Performance itself was great.

Good narration for an excellent story

I picked this up as one of my childhood favorites for my 2 year old daughter and she loves it. While I am not usually a fan of music or sound effects in my audio books it works well here and I think helps pain the picture for my daughter.

I need no thneed!

This book always makes me think of a time in graduate school. One of my cohort was from a family who owned a lumber mill in the Pacific Northwest. And one time, she made some comment about "tree huggers" and I said something like, "I'm sorry to get all 'lifted Lorax' on you, but I must speak for the trees!" I crack myself up! :)

Obnoxious music

The story is one of my favorites and Ted Danson does a fine job with it - but the music running throughout the reading is so obnoxious!
