Story
My name is Vinna and I am a Sentinel. I'm the last in a line of a hunted, magical race, coveted and killed for our power and abilities. I was hidden and protected, but now that I've been found, it's a race to see who can command and control me. Joke's on them, I bow to no one. I need to master my magic, and protect the five guys I've marked as my own at all costs. Because the line between friend and foe is dangerously blurry, and I'm collecting enemies like Sentinels collect runes.

Story
I am a latent wolf shifter. Or so I thought. Then, life as I knew it changed in a flash - or more accurately, an electrocution. I’ve woken up in a strange place, surrounded by strange people who hate me. They’re in the middle of a war, and I look like I belong on the wrong side of it. If that’s not enough to qualify as a really bad day, I now have wings and a strange animal to figure out because it turns out that there’s not a damn latent thing about me.

Story
Once upon a time, I was your average spunky redhead with the lamest employment history ever, a shaky relationship with my only family member, and no idea what I was doing with my life. Now, I'm a pseudo mythic with the best bartending job in the world, the most amazing (and hot) best friends I never knew I needed, and a guild of misfit magic-users who've become my extended family. And I'm about to lose it all. In my desperation to save Ezra, I stumbled into a web of ruthless deception - and seriously pissed off a sleeping hydra.

When I first woke up in the land of the Gryphons, I had one goal: getting back home. I was so focused on figuring out how to leave that I got myself exiled from the Hidden, captured by the Avowed, and managed to claim not one, but three mates. Although I had no idea about that last one until it was too late. Oh right, and then, I almost died.

Just when I think things are starting to look up...I manage to get myself kidnapped. All I want to do is figure out how the hell to get home. But instead, I’ve been shot out of the sky, netted, half drowned, and now I’ve been taken to Kestrel City, home of the Avowed. The Hidden claim the Avowed are the enemy, but I’m about to learn nothing is ever just black and white. Well, except maybe for my gryphon. I need to keep Pigeon and her wandering eye on a tight leash. Which is a hell of a lot easier said than done.

My name is Medley Bell, and if you had told me this time last week that I was demon, then I’d have said you were nuttier than a squirrel turd. Of course, that was before I started seeing the strangest things. I’ve always been a little off, but it took stumbling into a backwater bar to understand how different I really am. So when two drool-worthy guys stop by to tell me that I’m Hell spawn just like them, I’m more relieved than shocked. I mean, it sure does explain a lot.

I’ve spent my whole life seeing monsters, but they could never see me back...until now. Turns out, I’m not crazy like I’ve spent my whole life believing. Too bad it took being locked in a cage and tortured almost to the point of insanity to realize that. But I’m not alone. In a cage to my left, there’s a monster who’s given up hope. He stays in the shadows and moves with chains wrapped around him, but his golden eyes watch. To my right, there’s a girl with purple wings and familiar gray eyes.

It’s never a good combo to be broke and desperate. You do stupid things. Like accidentally sign your soul over to hell. When I interviewed for a new security job, I didn’t bat an eye that it was for a literal graveyard shift...headstones and all. I mean, at the hourly rate they were offering, who cares? I got this. Turns out, I’m not guarding a graveyard like I thought. It seems I’ve just walked my broke ass into protecting a gate to hell. Yeah...I don’t got this.

Publisher's Summary
My name is Vinna, and I've been keeping a lot of secrets.
You would too if you'd experienced some of the weird shit I have: red-eyed monsters chasing me, markings on my body appearing out of nowhere, a strange power that crackles colorfully over my skin from time to time, and don't get me started on the weapons I can conjure up almost out of nowhere.
Lucky for me, I have yet to meet someone whose ass I couldn't kick, inside the ring or out. I put that to the test when I run headfirst into a fight that brings all my secrets, and reality as I know it, crashing down around me. Now, I'm looking for answers and trying to piece together what the hell is going on. Paranormal is my new way of life. It's not going to be easy, and I'm not exactly welcome.
That is, until I meet the boys, and trust me, they are anything but boyish.
I'm up against elders who think I'm too powerful, a family who views me as a threat, and something lurking in the shadows that's been coming for me my whole life.
There's not a chance in hell I'm going down without a fight. I'm not lost anymore, and I'm about to show this world exactly what I can do.

Narration.... OVERLY dramatic ALL of the time
The story was okay. Much like many reverse harems out there. Not with as much connection to the mc and her "guys" though. It really didn't start to feel like the story was developing until 3/4 of the way through. Though, that could have just been the narrator. She continued to have this overly saccharin lilt to her voice, no matter the character. Every character sounded exactly the same. It was off putting, to say the least. Other narrators (like Saskia Maarleveld) are able to distinguish the characters with the slightest inflection or change in register. This narrator needs more work, I think. I won't be purchasing book 2.

horrible narrator
I am obsessed with this series and after rereading it twice I wanted to listen to it to bring it to life. the narrator is so horrible that I couldn't even finish the second chapter. she reads super slow, puts pauses in where they don't belong, and actually retracts from the story. it was better listening from the automated computer voice on my phone. don't waste your money!

I. Love. This. Book. My brain is so happy!
My brain has some quirks. Mainly that it struggles with being able to listen to certain tones, cadences, etc. It also finds safety and peace in repetition. Itis so hard to find a story I can hear over and over and over again - and that is narrated in a way that doesn't cause my brain to spaz out. I've already listened to this book 3 times, since 6/2. It's 6/5. It's available from my library on audiobook, so I checked it out there first. I was hooked on the story by "page 2" and knew I had to buy it by "page 2.5". It's a fun, coming into your own, finding your place, and fighting for it story. I like that things heat up - but it's hot vs immediately raunchy. That wouldn't have fit the story just now. I like that people aren't perfect and make mistakes. I like that forgiveness, though forthcoming, isn't immediate. I like the tension and build-ups. I've already pre-ordered book 2. Thank you so much for great read and choosing a fantastic narrator.

Not for me
The narrator has a pleasant voice, but either the writing or the acting (or probably both) are not engaging. My mind wanders and I realize that I missed the last minute and have to rewind. A good book should be gripping. For me, this isn’t that type of book. I didn’t finish the story, and I suspect that I am simply am not the target audience. Best of luck to both the author and the narrator. I hope that this story resonates with others.

Magic and mystery
4.5 Stars Overall Rating ★★★★ Plot ★★★★★ Humor ★★★★ Characters & Character Development ★★★★ Narration ★★★★★ Characters: Vinna, Ryker, Knox, Valen, Bastien, Sabin Aydin, Lachlan, Evrin, Keegan, Silva Story: This was a great beginning of what I feel like could be one of my favorite Reverse Harem series. I enjoyed the main character Vinna. She's strong and has a backbone and doesn't take any crap from anyone. She also has a vulnerable side which I felt for when it came out. I loved how her guys were so supportive of her even when she tried to push them away. I hated that her uncle and the rest of his group continued to hurt her throughout the story. I really can't wait to see where this story goes. This was an amazing book. Narration: Mia Madison - I absolutely loved her narration. I think she will be a new favorite narrator of mine.

Poor Description!!!
This is labeled as Fantasy. There should be an explicit inclusion of being a reverse harem novel in the description. If it was described properly I never would have purchased this book and the author could have spared herself this poor review.

Book was great, narration wasn't as great.
I want to start by saying that I LOVE this series. I first read on kindle then bought the audio as soon as it came out. I'm an avid audio book listener and will buy book two as soon as the audio comes out for that one. With that being said, I didn't care too much for the narrator here. I thought some of the timing was off, some wording was way too slow and drug out. It was just a bit annoying. I also wish there was a bit more distinction between the character voices. Books with many characters can get confusing, this is especially true with Reverse Harem as you have multiple males introduced at the same time. I prefer a narrator that can really voice that distinction. Again, it wasn't bad, just wasn't great for me. I will remain a huge Ivy Asher fan and will read and listen as long as she keeps releasing!
