I love the back and forth of the male and female voice actors. it really draws you in, brings more dimension to the scene when it's actually a female voice arguing rather than a male falsetto. Just finished and feel all warm and fuzzy now 😊

Christian Allister
I am a real sucker for an obsessed, possesive, jealous MMC and Christian Allister gave me everything I ever wanted in a book boyfriend. The man is in therapy cause he's so obsessed with her, like are you kidding me? I wouldn't want any of those toxic book boyfriends to come to live but I would make an exception for Christian Allister. And Gianna is the perfect mix between the sensitive lovely FMC and the petty, sassy FMC. The banter was excellent. The only thing I didn't like is how Gianna did not make Christian yearn enough and wouldn't stand by what she said.

Best One Yet
Of all the audiobooks I’ve heard this year, this was by far the best.
The story was good but reminiscent of another I heard last year. Loved it anyway!
The narration was “The Best”. The interaction of the two narrators was something I haven’t heard done this way before. I loved it.

Story overall
I did like the plot, I loved the slow burn for the first words “I love you” the book is well written and I enjoyed it a lot, couldn’t stop listing. The voices were amazing too.

Difficult to rate - MMC narration killed the book
I’ve listened to over 100 audiobooks so feel like I can give an informed opinion on why the MMC narration hindered the integrity of this book. There was grey noise that made them sound like they’re speaking from different environments and his accent was that of a man in the 1920s. They should probably invest on getting a new narration for the MMC in order to allow us to truly experience the book as intended by the author.
If I’m overlooking the male narration, the story was captivating enough. Cat and mouse could’ve ended sooner but that’s personal preference. I must say, the spice was spicing!
FMC did a great job and the sound on her end was 10/10.

Male narrator stood in the way of 5 stars
It’s ridiculous how the book goes “it was a growl that lowered into threat” and the male narrator goes about that growl and threat like “I thought about you so much you’re mine now” in a monotone robotic emotionless way!

Good book but…
The male narrator is HORRIBLE. I had trouble listening to this because of him. The first book was great, which is why I got the 2nd. Hoping the 3rd is better 😩

Great book but there’s an audio mistake
The book and performances were awesome. But there’s a weird audio mistake in chapter 6 at -25:13 minutes. Maybe I’m going crazy or maybe this will be fixed by the time you read this review 🤷🏻♀️. Enjoy.
