Stories Within a Story
An unbelievably talented author that we will miss sorely. So many stories within this novel alone and so much history and perspective on Ireland's fight for independence. Could not put it down. Narrator sometimes speaks a bit fast but overall splendidly written and performed.

I was so angry when I got to the end! The story!
This story and performance were as terrific as all of the others. Since the series is "The Seven Sisters" I expected a wrap-up of all the sisters' stories and Pa Salt's story. Now I have 1.5 more years to wait for "Atlas: Pa Salt's story". Although I thoroughly enjoyed all seven books I am feeling upset that I was unaware of the 8th book (even J.K. Rowling warned her readers that her final story would be in two books!). Lucinda Riley is a gifted hard working writer and I will continue to buy her books. I just hope there will be more clarity if she creates more series (which I certainly hope that she will write).

my least favorite of the series
while in the other six books of the series I got completely wrapped up in the story, this one failed to do it for me. I felt there were many unnecessary details about Mary's childhood and the way her "secret" was dragged out eventually started to annoy me.
while the chapters with the other sisters, and the chapters about Mary's ancestors still carried me away...the chapters about Mary herself couldn't. She lacks the strength in personality the other sister showed and down the line I started thinking 'for God's sake women, you're 59...not 90'. But overall the seven sisters are the best works I've come across in a long long time.

The Missing Sister…Loved IT!!!
I have listened to the entire series and now I find out Lucinda Riley died in June, 2021. I truly saddened to hear this new and my prayers and thoughts are to her family.
We will never know the story of Pa Salt! That aside, I’m very grateful that I was able to enjoy this gifted writer’s books and may she Rest In Peace!
RIP Ms. Riley.

Oh boy.
Good one. Teeny bit repetitive at times but overall really great. I love the history and mythology that she always weaves in to these stories. I always find myself googling details to learn more. And this story flows seamlessly from the others in such a way that makes me think she must have had all the books planned from the beginning. Can’t wait for “Pa Salt”.
