Publisher's Summary

Levi Black is at a crossroads. After suffering a loss and breaking up a long-term relationship, he’s looking for a change. When he receives the news he’s inherited a house in York, he seizes the opportunity to begin a new chapter in his life.

However, when he gets there, he finds a house that has never kept its occupants for very long. Either through death or disinclination, no one stays there, and after a few days of living in the place, Levi can understand why. Strange noises can be heard at all hours of the day and night, and disturbing and scary things begin to happen to him. He never believed in ghosts before, but when events take a sinister turn, he knows he must look for help. He finds it in the unlikely form of the blue-haired leader of a ghost tour.

Blue Billings is edgy, beautiful, and lost. Utterly lost. He conceals so many secrets that some days it’s a miracle he remembers his own name. He knows that he should ignore Levi because he threatens the tenuous grip Blue has on survival. But there’s something about the kind-eyed man that draws Blue to him. Something that demands he stay and fight for him when he would normally run in the opposite direction.

As the two men investigate the shocking truth behind Levi’s house, they also discover a deep connection that defies the short length of time they’ve known each other. But when events escalate and his life is on the line, Levi has to wonder if it was wise to trust the mysterious and amazing Blue Billings.

Loved It! Joel Leslie Is A Divine Narrator!

The writing wasn't perfect, but I absolutely loved this book. There are times, honestly, when the little tense errors or issues with telling, rather than showing just are a non-issue because the story is so engrossing and the characters are so lovable. This was one of those cases. The 'mystery' aspect wasn't all that mysterious, because I knew pretty quickly what was happening, but I loved Lily Morton's way of telling the story, of adding in suspense and action, and interweaving the slow-burn romance. It was delightful.

Favourite scene (and one that choked me up) was when Levi was dancing in his kitchen.

As for the narration in the audiobook, it was amazing. Joel Leslie is my absolute favourite narrator. He does accents so very well, and moves seamlessly between accents when characters are talking. I swear, he's a wizard of voices. Love, love, LOVE him.

It was narrated by Joel Leslie....enough said!

Joel Leslie has a talent for making stories come to life.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was originally going to read it until I found out who the narrator was and decided to invest a credit to listen instead and I am glad I did.

This story was so well written that I didn't guess anything correctly until much later. Truth be told, I just allowed myself to be immersed in the book and for the story to evolve. For the longest time, I thought maybe it wasn't a haunting and was just living people trying to get him to sell the property.

This book is a ghost story, murder mystery and romance all tied into one and very well done.

Incredibly enjoyable ghost story

Loved this do much. Joel Leslie is there king of narration. I do want to make a bow to ms. Morton. I do adore seeing a Supernatural fan “in the wild”. Any and all references during the climax (ha) of this novel to the Winchesters are duly appreciated. It gave me great joy.

Looking forward to book two.
