Publisher's Summary

New discoveries in archaeology and recent best sellers and movies, such as The Da Vinci Code and The Passion of the Christ, have sparked renewed interest in the many questions that have remained unanswered about Christianity and other religions. At the heart of these controversies is Jesus. With a unique perspective only Sylvia Browne could bring, The Mystical Life of Jesus is filled with the details of Jesus' inspiring life.

Addressing his birth, childhood, travels, ministry, miracles, crucifixion, death, and resurrection, she addresses all of the major questions:

  • Was there a virgin birth?
  • Was there a Star of Bethlehem?
  • What did he do for the first 30 years of his life?
  • Was he married?
  • Was he divine?
  • Was it a miracle at Cana (and who was getting married)?
  • Is there a Jesus lineage?

Using her unique relationship with her spirit guide and her years of studying the controversial Gnostic texts, Sylvia answers all of these questions with a confidence and authority only someone who has visited the afterlife can have.

    Seemingly accurate, and quite reverential.

Great book for Anyone attempting to release religious programming to enter into direct relationship with the Source of Being.

    interesting and Intriguing!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this life-changing book. It makes perfect sense in how Silvia dissects the Bible. Sylvia's book makes me want to go out and find these other versions of the Bible! It really does make one think that after 70 years of being told one thing, or in this case hundreds of things, about Jesus that are completely opposite, it makes you want to shout to the world "Really, why did I not find this out sooner?* My faith is now shaken but not in Jesus! For decades I have been struggling with the thoughts that must be going through the mind of Jesus when he sees the pomp and ceremony and expense that many of our churches, mine included, go to in providing our places of worship - full of brass and expensive windows and boards of management ringing their hands over how to keep the doors open! I once saw a program on a PBS channel that I believe was entitled "Jesus In The Himalayas" . I have searched for it ever since but cannot find it. According to the program, Jesus had visited and taught in the Himalayas but the timeline was prior to His crucifixion. I believe the storyteller in that one was guessing and now I'm wondering if it wasn't after his "resurrection" or should I say "revival"?! Right now, in Canada we are struggling with the atrocities committed during the reign of terror by the Roman Catholic Church in the residential schools. I point out the Roman Catholic Church because they are the only ones to my knowledge who will not admit to these genocidal crimes! The Anglican and United churches have admitted their parts in what was a sad attempt to destroy the Indian in the child! This was the total opposite to what being a Christian is all about! Jesus must be so sad at what people have done in His name! I will be listening to this again more than once! THANK you Sylvia for creating doubt and an intense appetite for more!

    Fantastic Book

This book gives a different perspective on this subject. Very good read and I was left with many thoughts afterwards. This book made me understand more.

If you've been raised with a certain religion or read the bible or have attended the same church since you were born you need to have an open mind if you are going to read this.
