Publisher's Summary
Return to the enchanting world of the Montague siblings in the finale to the New York Times bestselling and Stonewall Honor-winning series, featuring a teenage Adrian Montague as he desperately seeks the now adult Monty and Felicity—the older siblings he never knew he had.
Adrian Montague has a bright future. The sole heir to his father’s estate, he is an up and coming political writer and engaged to an activist who challenges and inspires him. But most young Lords aren’t battling the debilitating anxiety Adrian secretly lives with, or the growing fear that it might consume him and all he hopes to accomplish. In the wake of his mother’s unexpected death, Adrian is also concerned people will find out that he has the mental illness she struggled with for years.
When a newly found keepsake of hers—a piece of a broken spyglass—comes into Adrian’s possession, he’s thrust into the past and finds himself face-to-face with an older brother he never knew he had. Henry “Monty” Montague has been living quietly in London for years, and his sudden appearance sends Adrian on a quest to unravel family secrets that only the spyglass can answer.
In pursuit of answers about the relic, the brothers chart a course to locate their sister Felicity. But as they travel between the pirate courts of Rabat, Portuguese islands, the canals of Amsterdam, and into unknown Artic waters, the Montague siblings are thrown into one final adventure as they face a ghostly legend that threatens their whole family.

what a wholesome and well deserved ending
A fantastic series filled with humor, adventure, and characters we have come to know and love. To say I'm sad this is the last book Is an understatement. I hope one day Mackenzie Lee will add to the series and follow new characters.
I originally read the first book years ago and when I got audible I found it again. I'm so glad audible brought me back to this series because I never would have known it had two more books!
10 out of 10 for the story, the acting was phenomenal, and the ending was just as I would have hoped.

The first few chapters are emotionally rough.
Being in the mind of someone with anxiety and ocd isnt easy. As someone who experiences more anxiety than your average person, I had to take the book in small doses. However, it is necessary to experience the groundwork of those first few chapters to fully appreciate Adrian's struggles. Just know if you yourself are sensitive and prone to anxiety this will not be as easy a listen as the previous books. The voice actor does a phenomenal job at portraying this intelligent, caring, and pained Adrian in an incredibly convincing way which is why it can be challenging at times. I'm so pleased to have found this series. I look forward to seeing what Mackenzi Lee writes next!

Worth the wait!
It’s rare to read a series that is so consistently wonderful from beginning to satisfying end. I love how these books explore real challenges people have without being preachy. I love that there are people I can identify with having amazing adventures that are over the top and real at the same time. The afterword on mental illness is so lovely I’d like everyone I know who has this struggle to read it. (Which is a lot of people, I work in psychiatry.) Grateful to this author for hours of good reading about real serious things that is still somehow not depressing. I’m sure I’ll reread the series many times.

Absolutely bloody brilliant
Mackenzi Lee takes us in for landing, ending the Montague-sibling trilology with utter grace! I absolutely loved this book! The witing has her usual elegance and word play and there's a heartwarming and exciting adventure driving it all. The narration is easy on the ear and the witing is fun and playful but still there's made space for heavy themes like family legacy, mental illness and sexuality at the heart of it all. This book really explored the sibling relationship between these three excellently and I couldn't be happier! The conclusion made me cry like a little baby but that's beside the point!

A Stellar End of the Trilogy
Wow, just wow. Every time I'm not sure if Mackenzi Lee can do it again, she does it again. If you enjoyed the first two books in this series, you're sure to love this one. It's charming, hilarious, and weaves together new characters and old favorites masterfully, despite being set quite a few years after the previous book.
Adrian is such a great character, and the portrayal of anxiety was both powerful and relatable. He was such an enjoyable character to get to know, and his journey with Monty was heartfelt and hilarious, making me laugh out loud and come close to brink of tears. It was really everything I could have wanted out of this final book in the series.
And of course, Christian Coulson is one of the best narrators out there. He adds so much life and charm to the text, and I'm delighted that I discovered this series in audiobook in part due to his excellent work.
