Subpar.
" use a condom" , " don't go to a financial planner ", " download a template of your will from the internet" and other asinine gems .
As someone who works with " Old money" for living , I would not recommend this book .

Common sense
Nothing really special. A lot of common sense. Some stores are felt dated. The narrator sounds like a bot.

Good for those starting out or starting over
This book offers a cursory overview of certain quintessentially American values that act as a laudable strategy for dealing with challenges in 21st century life. It is not by any means comprehensive, and should not be expected to be so. It is also not a "get-rich-quick" book, or even a "get-rich-slowly" book. It is a book that educates one on the basics of how to make those decisions that will lead to a manageable, comfortable, and enjoyable life; as well as how to avoid those decisions that would lead to the opposite. There were some minor problems in narration, but by the time one is a quarter of the way through the audiobook, she will be thoroughly invested in the remaining three quarters.

Horrific Narration for a Wonderful Book
Rating 2/5 Audible Edition
The book "Old Money.." is rather a classic and like most classics contains a large amount of common knowledge/sense. However, it is amazing how often we need to 'hear' what we already know in order to make a change or take action in our lives. The writing by Byron Tully is wonderfully organized and to the point. A lot of it the reader already knows and some of it may surprise.
I already owned the Kindle version of this book and decided on a whim to buy the Audible version. Ugh... I really wished I hadn't. The narrator either is or just sounds like a robot. The narration was so inhuman and abrupt that I constantly lost focus on the book. The narration was literally shudder inducing for me! It has to be the single worst narration of an audio book I have ever heard.
I highly recommend the Kindle version but I do not recommend the Audible version at all.

The most motivating (in saving money) book! Reevaluated my values. No water. Ironic and humorous.

This is definitely not for diverse audiences
While this book is not for diverse audiences, as at times it could be down right offensive, it did make some good points. My parents taught me a lot of what is shared in this book and my parents were middle class. Points I already knew: purchase quality clothing and classic pieces, don’t ever lease a car, a good tailor and mechanic are essential as having a great banker, CPA and attorney. However, for people not so familiar with these concepts it’s a good read.

Mostly common sense with a few gems
Not really about old money but a few interesting points and lessons. The narrator unfortunately sounds very robotic, I did find setting the speed to 0.9x helped considerably making me think it must have been something done in post recording.

Working hard for The Old Money
A lot of very classic ideas that everyone knows , but never follow. True wealth includes a bit of modesty. This books explains that and speaks openly about ways to keep the hard earned money. Anyone can get rich, staying rich is the challenge.
