Quinn soon discovers that the boy had talked Ona into gunning for the world record for oldest licensed driver. Despite himself, Quinn picks up where the boy left off, forging a friendship with Ona that allows him to know the son he never understood.

I loved it so much that I found it difficult to disengage to move on to my next book. The relationship that developed between this odd boy and an elderly woman was surprising but very believable and beautiful. I just started listening to it again and it’s as touching now as it was on the first reading.
