Publisher's Summary

I was eight years old when I found out I had a father. It was the same day I held my dead mother in my arms while praying her life wasn't really over.

I was dropped into the middle of a new family not long after that. My dad, his wife, and their two kids to be exact. My new brother was ten years old and my sister was five. It doesn't take a genius to figure out I wasn’t supposed to be there.

My family ended up bigger than that though. My dad was a member of the Aces High Motorcycle Club.

From the very beginning I was ostracized because of who my mother had been. The daughters of club members were generally known as MC Princesses. My little sister was one. My title was a bit different, and proved that my mom's sins would always be held against me. I was The Other Princess.

My family, both by blood and MC ties, did wrong by me so I walked away from them. That was until he came home from the Army.

He tried to fix everything.

He tried to win an unattainable heart that had shut down years earlier.

I would know since it was my heart he was after.

He didn't realize it would take a miracle.

Secretly, I hoped I could still believe in miracles.

*Note: The Aces High Charleston Series should be read in order. The Charleston Chapter Series of the Aces High MC Franchise deals heavily with internal family themes, and is not your typical MC against MC with romance thrown in book. This is a family drama. The family just so happens to live and breathe bikes and the MC lifestyle. The only things blown up in this audiobook will be a few hearts. ;) You have been warned! This is a full length novel.

The Other Princess

I have loved this book from the first moment I read it myself. But sitting back and just listening to it be read allowed me even more time to invision the characters and the scenes even more. Absolutely loved it!

Had potential but is just too whiny

I read the blurb and it sounded interesting, I love MCs and angst filled books. Good lord that's not what this is at all. This is a story of a girl who was ostracized and bullied, then whined about it for 200 pages. It felt like high school kids decided to play cool and make a MC. The characters are immature and act like children, not grown ass adults. <spoiler>her brother's friend yelled at her at school then her father - the MC's VP - stormed home to yell at her about it. COME ON!</spoiler> An MC isn't getting involved in schoolyard drama. The whole story is her playing the victim while the men of the MC are constantly grovelling for her forgiveness. I could not roll my eyes hard enough every time one of these oh-so-tough bikers were snivelling because they felt oh so bad. I understand why Ever was hurting but after hearing her complain about it 150 times, I was over it. Then we get Declan's POV and it's literally the same damn thing. Constant whining, no action. Don't even get me started on the absolute ridiculousness of the whole tattoo thing. Talk about being extra. There is no romance and no connection between the main characters. There is someone else who would have made a much better hero. The plot really did not work to be set amongst an MC. The audio version is the only reason I didn't DNF this. I enjoyed Sarah Puckett, she brings emotion and makes her characters come to life. I wasn't in love with DC Cole to be the male voice for this particular book but I do typically enjoy him in general.

Not your typical MC

This story is so much more than an MC book. Yes, it involves an MC but it focuses more on the family life outside of the MC. It was a very interesting twist and had me hooked from the beginning. I had a hard time putting this book down to get some sleep! The book started out rough and had me worried about the path the story would take but I that path quickly changed to one I never saw coming. I hope Christine has more books following this particular club, as I feel I have connected with them in ways I hadn't thought possible at the beginning! The narration was amazing! I love that this book is done in dual narration, it definitely brings the audio to another level! Sarah and DC did great with their respective characters and really brought out all of the emotions that happen in this book! 🎧AudiobookObsession🎧

The Other Princess

Because I listen to several books each week, I tend to forget most of them rather quickly. Then there are others that will stay with me long after I finish them because they are unique and memorable. This book is one of the memorable ones. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end. It is an MC book but it really is more about a dysfunctional family dealing with lots of family drama. I cried with Ever at the way she was treated by those who were supposed to love and care for her. I cheered for Declan as he tried to right the wrongs that had been done and win Ever's heart in the process. It was a beautiful love story. I can't wait to listen to more of this series. Sarah Puckett and D.C. Cole are two of my favorite narrators and both did a wonderful job bringing this amazing story to life. 🎧AudiobookObsessionReviewer

My Thoughts on The Other Princess

If you are starting this book then do yourself a favor and get the tissues ready. Cause this book will absolutely have the water works going. But it will also make you smile and leave you in awe of what you just read. I’d never read a book by this author combo before, but I was blown away by this first experience. I got a variety of characters with different personalities and layers to them. I got a steady plot and writing style that held me captivated. I just got so much in this book. Even the initial premise of the story wasn’t quite what I expected once things really got going. But it was a really good surprise in the end. And speaking of endings, this one was so good and yet completely left me hanging. Another thing I really loved in listening to this story was Sarah Puckett. She never disappoints. I always go into a book she’s narrating knowing I’m going to get a good personality portrayal for the leading lady and just an overall great performance. I’m not as used to DC Cole as a narrator, but he wasn’t bad in this one. I would like to listen to a few more his before forming a final opinion. ~AudiobookObsessionReviewer

In My Feels

I didn't realize I was going to need tissues 5 minutes into the story! What an emotional rollercoaster! The narrators were amazing and made me feel every emotion as the story went on! What a twist to an MC book. Definitely wasn't a typical MC book but that is what made it so special. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Not a MC storyline

If you are looking for a good MC this isn’t it. This story is about a girl who had something bad happened to her in high school. Didn’t clear it up and it took 8 hours to get the the point. I only listened to this story because it was on the Audible Escape. It’s a rated PG. I have never listen to a MC rated PG. The narrator was ok. So sorry 😐 couldn’t get into this book.

MC Love

I received this audiobook from @AudiobookObsession for an honest review. I absolutely loved the story line of this book. Most MC romance novels tend to have the same outline but this author stepped away from that normal and brought in a different light. trouble within the MC! The narration of this audiobook was great! it kept the listener intrigued and drew you into the story more. It tied you emotionally to the characters. If you like MC romance I highly recommend this book and audiobook #dowtimereading
