as always, Jodi Picoult writes about things that are a current thing going on in our everyday world. th I isn't as good as a lot of her books but I still liked it and enjoyed it. its worth the money and credit. enjoy!

it was a good story.

Could this happen? Would the testimony given in the courtroom be allowed although I appreciate that the author wanted to get to the meat of the case and give a basic knowledge of the courtroom ie. prosecution vs. defence etc? Interesting story and emotional; I certainly like that a lot and a page turner. Fully formed characters and interactions. Fascinated by the confused thinking of teens who are extraordinarily close, how emotions ruled (no talk of hormones in the book) and that even though the 2 main characters talked mostly to each other versus family and others, they were unable to make mature decisions and choices when they were needed. Perhaps being in an unbelievably stressful situation (whatever age you are), can knock you off centre.

I understand why but it was disappointing that the truth about why Emily felt the way did didn’t come out…in one way it was good for the reader to piece their own theory together…I really wanted her parents…and Chris to have answers
