Every middle school student should read this one. It touches on so many important themes for middle schoolers, their teachers and families. Loved it from start to finish.

I'm a nonbinary woman of colour whose also a trans, queer and feminist scholar, so I have a pretty high bar for trans literature, especially about transitioning, but I LOVED this. It is such a great exploration of trans joy, as well as childhood, for trans and cis kids a like. I'm really glad the book is free on audible, otherwise I wouldn't have given it a try - but I'm m super glad I did. Highly recommend!

As a trans person this story hit super close to home. Moving to middle school can be a massive change you don’t expect. It’s such a heart warming ending.
