Publisher's Summary
‘Ti amo, mia cara’
The fine art of persuasion. Darius Rourke and his burning passion for a woman. The gentle Marianne…as beautiful as she is mysterious.
When presented with an opportunity to make her his bride, Darius takes it, and knows Marianne will finally belong only to him.
Or will she?
Marianne carries a secret. Something she believes will prevent her from ever being worthy to be loved by any man - even the masterful Darius, despite the fact he captivates her utterly.
A look… A caress… A kiss… A brooding sensuality. A lushly passionate tale of lovers entangled in the discovery of each other’s sins and secrets. As Darius and Marianne embark upon the journey together, they will find that learning to command is just as important as learning to surrender.
A man who knows what he wants...
A woman who needs him in order to know her worth…

Hot Dark Erotic Love Story!
I've read books four times the length of this one, but they didn't have 1/4 the passion of this one. I will...I must read it again. This is not a typical taboo Victorian story written by Anonymous. This is a Victorian LOVE STORY! A very very HOT love story.

Loved the story. Absolutely loved the narration.
Loved the story. Absolutely loved the narration. I Ioved that it was a split narration by characters during the story instead of at the end of chapters.

Can only say IT'S OVER!
I don't like to give bad reviews but the only thing I can say is I made it to the end. This book could not be more trite and boring if the author tried. The female narrator sounds like a ten year old, which is not ideal when preforming sex scenes and adult language. Don't waste your time with this one.

Stupendous!!
A beautiful addition to the "Blackstone" books. It's amazing how things over the centuries tie everything and everyone together. The narrators were perfect and played the roles wonderfully. This is a must read if you listen to any of the other books by Raine... she is truly talented!!!

An absolutely ridiculous story.
Would you try another book from Raine Miller and/or Shane East and India Baldwin ?
Probably. Raine is a decent writer, hopefully she is more imaginative in her other work.
What could Raine Miller have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
The identity of the mysterious Jonathan was predictable and the main character's guilt in his fate, was unreasonable and trite (even in 1837). Without spoilers, (although as predictable as the book is I don't know how it would be spoiled), the self recrimination and unworthiness Marianne felt to be happy, to be married, to be loved, to have a family is ridiculous. Also how did Darius not know the story of Jonathan since he has been pervishly stalking Marianne since she was a child. Her guilt should stem from having no animosity at being bullied into a marriage and the strategic destruction of her father. Sheesh...is this really the love story for all ages?
What would have made the story better is a better reveal, a true basis for Marianne's guilt, a little fire in her belly for being so manipulated. Marianne could have remained an innocent maid and still had a decent plot line.
Would you be willing to try another one of Shane East and India Baldwin ’s performances?
Individually yes,
What character would you cut from The Passion of Darius?
Marianne..
Any additional comments?

Perdictable
Would you try another book from Raine Miller and/or Shane East and India Baldwin ?
I have loved Raine Millers work from the first. So sad this was a stale cracker. I actually was happy when it ended. Shane East is a 10 stars of 5. He is exellent and carries the story well. India Bldwin receives a 4.
Any additional comments?
I look forward to more Raine hopfully with some spice and surprise.
