À propos de cet audio

Beneath a veneer of respectability and religion, Mary Winkler's soul festered as she struggled to be obedient and loving to her husband and her God. Her suppressed anguish exploded in a shotgun blast that took the life of her husband, preacher Matthew Winkler.

Mary packed up her three young daughters and fled to the beach, leaving an endless trail of questions in her wake. Would anyone ever make sense of the tragedy in Selmer, Tennessee?

The Pastor's Wife tells the story of Mary Carol Winkler who shot her abusive husband while he was sleeping. The author, Diane Fanning, had obviously done extensive research. I thought the performance by Julie Williams was lacking.

An Interesting Read

I’m hoping this was AI and not an actual person who didn’t know where to and where not to put emotion and inflection in the story. It may have been a better story but I struggled to get through it because of the voice.

Poorly Narrated
