This story is a fantasy with cult figures and amazing powers. Not my normal listen. I might have missed that part when I ordered the book.
The dialogue seems forced and is excessively strident.
While a good effort, the Scottish accents were inconsistent and made listening very difficult at times.
If you enjoy a battle between really good guys and really bad guys, you will enjoy it.

I like Iris Johansen for a light read / listen but I’m not sure I can get past chapter 1 because of the appalling Scottish accents. They are the worst I’ve ever heard. I’m from Scotland but I’m not asking for perfect dialects, these are just so dreadful it’s hard to listen to! She is almost comically awful!
