Story
A collection of Taoist visualizations seldom taught outside China. This ancient system uses traditional Taoist imagery to build self-awareness, unity of mind and body, and - ultimately - enlightenment. While healing with imagery is relatively new to the West, its use in China dates back to Taoist texts from the third century B.C.E. These healing techniques induce an "alpha-theta" state, where the unconscious comes to consciousness, and the mind reaches a blissful clarity.

Story
Taoist living rests on four pillars: the public, the domestic, the private, and the spirit lives. Not only do Taoists strive to live these four aspects fully and in a balanced way, they also believe there is an outlook and an art to each of them. Eva Wong uses the teachings of Taoist masters themselves to explain the essential concepts. She then gives voice to these texts - simplifying them, removing barriers to understanding, and making them completely accessible and relevant to the modern reader.

Nei Gong has been a well-kept secret within the Daoist sects of China for centuries. Based upon the original teachings of the great sage Laozi, it has only ever been taught to close students of the masters chosen as the heads of the ancient orders. This audiobook provides a breakdown of the entire Nei Gong process and explains in plain English the philosophy which underpins Nei Gong practice, and which is based on the original teachings of the ancient Daoist priests.

My Go-To QiGong Reference Book
I have followed Ken Cohen’s teachings for years, and find them to be comprehensive, with clearly and concisely explained theory, and doable, easy to follow instructions for the exercises.
This audio book also carries the hard to describe gift of the author’s transmission, a quality that inspires and uplifts beyond words. I have been using these exercises throughout the day and as needed, with noticeable results in my stamina, mood, function and overall energy. And I have also listened to the meditations in this and Ken Cohen’s other audio programs (Taoist Healing Meditations) to overcome the effects of negative influences and even to overcome insomnia.
If your lifestyle includes any kind of conscious embodied practice, this book will enrich you. Whether you are a beginner of healing arts, QiGong, or martial arts, or experienced, you will be enriched by listening and practicing the meditations in this book. You will get a clear understanding of what to practice, when to practice, the direction to orient yourself during practice, and why.
This is the only QiGong book you’ll ever need on a desert island (just also take along a power bank to charge your device!).

Excellent meditation practices
This is probably much better in audio format than book. You can use it as a guided meditation, there are some visualization meditation practices

Really enjoyed this book.
This book is well researched, authoritative, and spends a good deal of time on very useful meditations. I recommend it as a core book for your Qigong. It is read by the author and it feels very natural.
