Story
Here is a portrait of Jesus that in some ways will affirm what traditional Christianity has always understood about him...and, in other ways, upend it altogether. Award-winning author Mark Clark delves into the person and work of Jesus of Nazareth: his parables and miracles, his controversial challenge of discipleship and obedience, his seemingly insane claim to be God, and what his death and resurrection (if they did happen) actually mean.

Jesus has never been more popular. Some love him, applauding him as a good teacher, a political revolutionary, or a prophetic voice speaking out against the rich and powerful. Others find him bigoted, old-fashioned, and narrow-minded, even as they are forced to admit that his words and teachings are utterly unique. His presence infuses our political discussions and our dinner table debates, making him impossible to ignore. Author and pastor Mark Clark looks beyond the superficial understandings of Jesus to examine his hard-hitting claims and teachings

We are at war. Not with a foreign government or domestic terrorists or a creepy new artificial intelligence hell-bent on taking over the world. We let them into our bodies, and they sabotage our peace.

Few subjects are as compelling-or as endlessly variable-as love and marriage. The Bible is filled with references to husbands and wives, from the story of Adam and Eve to advice in the New Testament, each open to interpretation. In The Meaning of Marriage, Timothy Keller, pastor of New York's Redeemer Presbyterian Church and bestselling author of The Reason for God, uses the scriptures as his guide to show readers what God's call to marriage is, and why this is such a powerful call.

Story
Many seek reassurance or perceived unity by creating doctrinal statements, but that misses the point. Doctrine is necessary, but it is not the solution. In his new book Until Unity, New York Times best-selling author Francis Chan tells listeners that the real problem is shallow or even nonexistent love for each other. Although the Bible commands unity, some will resist these unifying efforts. We see it every day. We have to hate sin, love truth, and pursue unity for the church.

Publisher's Summary
The Problem of God is written by a skeptic who became a Christian and then a pastor, all while exploring answers to the most difficult questions raised against Christianity. Mark grew up in an atheistic home, and after his father's death, began a skeptical search for truth through exploring science, philosophy, and history, asking the big questions of life, and eventually finding answers in Christianity.
In a disarming, winsome, and persuasive way, The Problem of God responds to the top 10 questions people raise against God, and Christianity, including, among others:
- The Problem of Science
- The Problem of God's Existence
- The Problem of the Bible
- The Problem of Evil and Suffering
- The Problem of Hell
- The Problem of Sex
- The Problem of Hypocrisy
Each chapter answers the specific challenge using a mix of theology, philosophy, and science on the one hand, while also using stories and anecdotes. It's apologetics for the rest of us, focused on both convincing the skeptic, and informing the Christian.

Deeply moving and filled with GOD'S truth.
I am a Christian and have a faith that has been with me my whole life, but it has always felt some what lacking in some of belief in miracles and things since I have a sceptical heart. Though I always had a hope the Bible is true and JESUS came to save me I often have my doubts. So praise be to GOD a man took the time to search in all these different theologies and historical facts and scientific data to find the most convincing evidence to the truth and existence of GOD and JESUS his son. Mark both writes and reads like what he is saying is true, there is a passion you can feel so much so that every chance I got I was listening to this recording till the finish and now LORD willing I will do something about it and not sit by and go on the same as before.

Prepare to be challenged (in a good way)
this book does a great job to look at both sides of many of the arguments for and against Christianity. the author pulls many great examples and resources to showcase the different perspectives and walk through logical understanding based on all the evidence. it will challenge you to ask these questions as it explores them, but the author provides great responses to each question and challenge.
well worth the listen to.

Very Convincing and Quite Good
Mark Clark presents a compelling and convincing understanding of the tenets of God and the Bible. Through logic, reasoning and even the empirical method he (believe it or not) lays out how believing in God is far more logical than it's oppositional beliefs. Furthermore, through his deductive ways, Clark lays the groundwork upon which we can safely know the Bible's validity, Jesus' proof of who He is and claimed to be, and what motives are found at the end for why might a person really reject the blatant truth that is within their grasp. For answers to these inquiries and more, you'll need to venture no further than this read through.

Great book for believers and skeptics alike
This book addresses many of the obstacles that people have with Christianity in our secular society. If you are a skeptic, I challenge you to read this book and think about the material in a self-critical way. Mark Clark presents the material in a direct, factual, and relatable way. He tackles big questions by providing evidence and addresses many atheist arguments (think Stephen Hawking). He builds on the arguments of many other critical Christian thinkers and apologists such as C.S. Lewis, J.R Tolkien and Timothy Keller.

Mind...blown!
I’m a Christian and I bought this book with bad intentions; to learn how to beat the skeptics. As I listened, I realized that I had a lot to learn, and that I’m a skeptic who needed to know more. I am the very person I set out to defeat. The information is extremely powerful and the delivery is passionately delivered. Do yourself a favor and dive deep into this book. I need to listen to this 10x before I will have a solid understanding of the rich information it contains.
