Where Faith Meets Productivity

I am not into any form of self-help or management books. However, my wife recommended this book to me, and I was curious to find out how the author will discuss productivity from an Islamic perspective. I am happy to say I am delighted with the approach and presentation.
On a technical point, the narration tends to be dry on occasion, but overall it worked well with the subject matter.
The book is targeted primarily at Muslims, and it gives a different perspective to a lot of the same Quranic verses and Prophetic ahadith with which a lot of Muslims are familiar.
It also answers some pointed questions regarding issues like fasting and being productive. And why are Muslims not productive even though our religion encourages productivity and excellence in our daily lives.

Great book!!

Alhamdulilah this book does not only aim to improve your productivity but also your imaan, connection with Allah and the Quran! There are so many great tips! I suggest making notes while you listen or buying the hard copy as well. I did the latter and the practical tips really helped to give me an imaan boost when I’m lacking! JazakhAllah Khair! May Allah bless the whole team! Ameen!

The only resource you need on productivity

I have been reading and listening to books on self-development for several years now, and they have completely changed my life. This books takes it to the next step by combining the two very important aspects of spirituality and productivity. Faris refers to several books and concepts that I have read about and incorporated in my life. I already had knowledge about a lot of the information he discusses related to exercise, nutrition and sleep, but then again I have read books and books on each these aspects. If you want one single guide to have access to all of the critical information you need to live a healthy, productive and meaningful life, then this book is a great choice.

How do you integrate productivity for Allah sake?

If you could sum up The Productive Muslim in three words, what would they be?

Allahs' Productive Slave.

What other book might you compare The Productive Muslim to and why?

Three personal favorite and effective productivity books to compare with. The Productivity Project by Chris Bailey, Getting Things Done by David Allen, and Getting Results the Agile Way by J. D. Meier. The Productive Muslim book helps me strengthen and internalize the importance of being productive as a Muslim. The goal is not for material gains. Results are an outcome of Allahs' will. Investing in being productive to seek Allahs' pleasure and Use productivity as an act of worship. MashaAllah.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

While waiting for this audiobook release. I believe this audiobook needs to be read by the author himself, Mohammed Faris. Despite a very small unnoticeable narration pronounciation, his performance narrating the message was clear and easily absorb. Consistency in delivering his energy in his voice throughout the book. MashaAllah. TabarakAllah.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

A few times I got home and reaching the office car park, I was still in the car listening to complete the chapter. This is because there is just so much knowledge to reflect on from each chapter of the audiobook. Connecting the dots. MashaAllah.

Any additional comments?

I would like the publisher or author to upload the bibliography of the book accompanying this audiobook. Most of the reference made in the book needs to be checked and read deeper. Especially when author narrates the translation and quote from the Quran. I would like to know which Verse from which Surah it was Quote. JazakAllahu khair.

Hard to sit through

Seems like click bait. Taking production tips from other books and putting Muslim in front of it doesn’t make it a great tie in. If a Muslim is beginning down the path of self development and hasn’t read much else in the field then it could be helpful, but anyone already down their journey will find this is a watered down version of a lot better books. Author should’ve paid a professional to narrate, he doesn’t have the voice for it. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend.

Inspirational, Practical & well structured

The author did a fantastic job of writing a complex topic of leadership, spirituality and productivity and distilling it into an exciting and inspiring book. I enjoyed the practical tools and applications shared in the book and can be easily implemented. Furthermore, the spiritual element and alignment with the true meaning of being useful not only at work but in many hats/roles we play in life were inspiring.

May Allah grant this author the strength, knowledge and wisdom to continue writing many books to inspire the creation of the Allah. I look forward to your next book.

The only book you'll need to actually do something with your life

I am a very lazy and unmotivated person, and this book addressed some serious issues from many unexpected angles that I would never have thought about. The book is comprehensive and brilliant that I started Implementing things from it right away and I saw amazing amazing progress, instantly. If you are a non productive Muslim like I am, then you need this book in your life right now. May Allah bless Mohammed Faris and reward him greatly for this beautiful gift to all of us.

WOW - from a non Muslim

Hi,
I read and listen to a lot of books, and "The Great Courses" lectures.
This book is one of the best I've ever listened to. No exaggeration: within the first 15 minutes of listening I was feeling a positive change.
Muslim and non Muslim alike will benefit greatly from listening.
- and, I think if you are Muslim, this book will send your spirituality and productivity into hyper-drive.

So now, take your mouse or finger tracker, and m o v e your pointer arrow to hover over the purchase box, and click or tap.
- you'll be very glad you did.

Andrew

If God is the master, then all God's creations are slaves

It's simple:

Slaves have a Master
Servants do not have a master

It can be said that term 'servant' is a gateway to shirk
