Sebastian Ellingham isn't known for being a happy vampire. And when his long estranged wife returns expecting to pick up where they left off, things take a sharp turn toward cranky. Sure he's been protecting her for centuries, but her assumption that he's still available (he is) rankles. His answer is to hire a woman to play his fiancée. For romance writer Roxy St. James, living in Nocturne Falls also means a fresh start. And as soon as her unbearable ex signs the divorce papers, that new beginning will be a reality. Unfortunately, her ex doesn't seem ready to let her go and the subtle threats he's been making leave her no choice but to confide in her oh-so-handsome neighbor, who just happens to be a deputy with the sheriff's department. But Officer Alex Cruz isn't just the law. He's also a panther shifter, a secret he's sworn to keep.

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better. Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all. Death is what grim reaper Lucien Dupree knows best. Or rather, he did until his reaping powers became tragically unreliable. Now he’s living in a self-imposed exile to keep humanity safe. Sure, it’s a lonely existence, but it’s the best thing for everyone.

Publisher's Summary
Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.
The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.
Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.
Pandora Williams is Nocturne Falls' most successful real estate agent. And least successful witch. Her magic never has the intended outcome, but she's learned to live with that. Mostly. Yes, it sucks, but what can she do? Then a hot new neighbor shows up and suddenly her magic works. Very cool, but very suspect. Especially since he's a total non-believer.
Cole Van Zant likes practicality and absolutes. Things he can see and touch. So not magic. But when his teenage daughter insists she's a witch - and they're now living in a town that celebrates Halloween every day - he needs help. Of the witchy variety. Thankfully, his sexy neighbor buys into all that hocus pocus.
Enlisting her help seems like a great idea until spending time together reveals a supernatural surprise about who Cole really is. A secret even he didn't know. Could Pandora and Cole really be meant for one another or is their attraction too much to believe?

Can't Decide Which Book is My Favorite?
Nocturne Falls is one of my favorite series! The stories are clean, funny and have a little romance. I'm a big fan of steamy romances; however, Kristen has proved you can write a great story without all bad language or sex scenes. Well done!
B.J. Harrison narration is flawless, and one of the best narrator's I've listened too! He has an amazing voice and brings each character to life. I love how he has been consistent with each character's voice throughout the series! He definitely deserves to be in Audible's top narrator list!
Another awesome story and performance! Highly recommend this series and story for anyone looking for light romance with a humor and action.

A light hearted fun listen 🦇
For me this book felt like a cross between Disney's Halloween town and Hallmark's Good Witch.
It's a squeaky clean, family themed sweet romance. The pace is very laid back with just a few minor hiccups. Nocturne Falls and the characters in it are very likable. The story was a bit predictable, but still entertaining. The narration was excellent!! B.J Harrion did a great job portraying the different characters. For lovers of all things paranormal this is one witchy good listen!

POOF MAGIC AND FEATHERS GLORE!
Where does The Professor Woos the Witch rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Right up there with the first three books in the series! I like the way you fall in love with the characters right away.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Professor Woos the Witch?
There were just too many to pick just one. If I had to pick one - I guess it would be when Cole's ex-wife came upon the scene. I wasn't expecting her. I thought she was completely out of Cole's life.
Which character – as performed by B.J. Harrison – was your favorite?
OMGosh! I can't pick as he does such a great job with all of them. He makes it fun to listen to him. Last week I listened to another audio book and the narrator was female, and the character came across as too whinny and unlikeable and she was the main character. The narrator makes and breaks a good story.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes of course!
Any additional comments?
Would make a great TV series.

It is true what they say about reader's ability to consume outweighs a writer's ability to produce.. These novels make a boring day driving, a pleasurable pastime instead.

enjoyed it.
a mostly enjoyable listen. it doesn't seem to be as well done as previous ones. There are a lot of places where who was speaking wasn't clear. The thought and dialogue thing that has become my pet peeve with audio books, I have about decided that is mostly a production issue.

A Delightful Book!
I love this series. And Pandora is one of my favorite characters. I read and also left a review for the book when it first came out. There was one thing that bugged me a little but I didn't comment on it. But listening to it now, I can't help but comment. Kayleigh was a delight, but there were times when she would do something or act a certain way making her dad upset, only for him to be all Sweetheart and Honey. Omg! This made me want to scream at him! In the beginning when she ran away, he should've at least grounded her. I know she was upset and misunderstood by her dad but she was too old to act like that. She should've known better. Especially being in a new and strange place. She didn't know if there was dangers. And I know teenagers can be mouthy no matter how many manners you try and teach them, but there were times when she was so disrespectful and nothing was ever said. No matter how bad she ever was, her dad thought it was so cute. Gosh, I didn't mean to rant. That being said, there's not a lot of parts like this. In fact, by the end of the book, she is my favorite character. She really matures so much so fast.
I just love the way Cole's role as a familiar was written. One would think familiars would be boring but not him. His ex-wife, Lilah, is a real piece of work. She is such a bad mother. After leaving Cole and Kayleigh a long time ago, she starts coming back around wanting to be part of Kayleigh's life. Which is a good thing if that is her true intentions. You will have to read/listen to the book to find out.
Pandora is such an awesome person. She's a witch who's magic has always been broken. She has a big fat cat named Pumpkin who loves beef jerky. Her and Cole are a match made in heaven. I was upset at first about her getting so upset that Cole wasn't staying permanently. I mean, why couldn't she be the one to up and move where he lived? Of course, Nocturne Falls is the safest and best place for a witch to live. Or is it safe? Nothing is safe with Lilah around. She is hell bent on using a spell on Cole. Pandora's family are powerful witches so they are determined to protect her.
This book has a wonderful happy ending. There's a really good twist to part of it that I didn't guess. I loved it! And this is the best narrator there ever was! He can do any voice.

I enjoyed this book more than I did for Bk 3. More action and interaction among the characters. I like how Cole and Pandora act towards each other. Pandora's mother and siblings were so supportive of her. I am still enjoying the series and I hope the next book will be published soon.

A little simplistic but a nice listen. As with the other books in the series things just work out a bit too easy.
