Thanks to this book you'll know how to actually get started instead of being put in a useless maze of unhelpful obstacles, and cut back on massive amounts of time and energy.

The one and only book you need

I think that this is a genuine and helpful resource, although I don't remember a whole lot of it. It might be better to buy a physical copy and use it as a reference. But a lot of the advice was just fine, sometimes even great. Goodreads has a lot of sketchy reviews about this book that slander it much more than is deserved.

He does cover fiction briefly, and in a fairly unique and interesting manner, but it's not really the focus of the book. Additionally the idea that, especially if you're self publishing, you have to treat this like a business is definitely valid. Self publishers might not like the business side that this book presents, but it's in the name "self publisher." Also, there is a pitch at the end, but whatever, that's business, and it was at the end. Who knows, maybe the author's publishing school is great. Overall decent book.
