Publisher's Summary

Forget everything you know about reality. The quantum world doesn't play by those rules.

Daniel Rice is a government science investigator whose specialty is solving seemingly intractable problems through scientific inquiry.

But Daniel's intellectual strength is sorely tested by the bizarre realities he finds in the quantum world. Extra dimensions of space trap the unwary, probability replaces cause and effect, and time isn't what anyone imagined. The other side of the mirror is a place full of dangers, but it's also somewhere a dedicated scientist can uncover secrets that connect humans with something greater.

Book one is great. After that…

This is three books lumped into one audiobook. I really enjoyed it until I got to book 2, where the narrator changed to someone I found unlistenable. I skipped ahead to see what book 3 sounded like, and there was yet another narrator, possibly marginally better than the second one, but- too late.
I would give book one 5 stars for narration and writing. Very interesting and well worth the listen just for this part. It’s a shame about books two and three- but maybe worth searching out in print form, or maybe your ears are less delicate.

Skip the 2nd book

The first book was excellent but I couldn't get through the second. The narrator for the second book has the worst accents I've ever heard. With a book so filled with accents they should have gotten an actor who could believably do accents. It's also very strange to hear characters you got to know in the first book speak in a different voice and completely different tone, the characters come across nothing like they did in the first book. I stopped at chapter 5 and can't get through it. Bottom line: just get the first book.
