Publisher's Summary
Hosted by a strange pair of game masters, Veego and LaBerge, the games are a mix of sport and combat. They use the people of Quillan as pawns for their amusement as they force them to enter competitions that range from physical battles, to impossible obstacle courses, to computer-driven tests of agility. To triumph in the games is to live the life of a king. To lose is to die.
This is the dangerous and deadly situation that Bobby Pendragon finds on Quillan. He quickly realizes that the only way to save this troubled territory is to beat Veego and LaBerge at their own games and dismantle their horrible fun house. But there is more at stake for Bobby. The prize for winning the Quillan Games may be discovering the truth of what it really means to be a Traveler.

Audiobook is incomplete.
46 sconds in, the reading skips over a small section of the book
What's in the recording:
"I like to win too...other? When I lose,"
What's in the book: "I like to win too. Doesn't everybody? But I'm not one of those guys who has to win constantly or I get all cranky. Why bother. When I lose,"
My sister reports that this has also happened in Raven Rise.

Amazing as always!
Im completely enthralled with this series all because of finding it on audible! The voice acting is utterly fantastic and I've already downloaded the next book in the series! My only sadness comes from the fact that I know I'm getting close to the end:(

Quillan!!!
I’ve read all previous books and this one is in the middle so far. I love all these books. The stories always keep you wanting more and just as you think Bobby has saved the day Saint Dane has something to say about it. What do we have to do to make these series into a movie or at least a Tv series!?

Takes a really long time to get great
This book started out a 2-3. It didn't have the lovable past travelers like past books side for Bobby and the book feels 6 hours too long. It did a lot of world building to get to the Quillan Games, but I'd say about 10 hours in, it picked up, but everything was worth it in the last 2.5 hours. Saint Dane still feels silly, but so much of the worlds are colliding together, I can't wait to see what's in store for everyone in book 8!

Keeps getting better and better!
Maaaaaan, this book was a real rollercoaster of emotions. So much action and humor and heartbreak and alot of scary situations for Bobby courtesy of Saint Dane. Probably the biggest growth of Bobbys character so far. Especially at the end you can really tell how much he has grown up and changed. Hoby ho, on to book 8!
