Great second installment to this series. It’s one of the best I've listened to in a long time. The subtle humor in some scenes had me laughing out loud in real life.

Cassandra Clare does it again; The Ragpicker King is captivating from the first page to the last page. A wonderful sequel and I cannot wait for the next book!

I am a fan of the author‘s work, having enjoyed the immortal instruments and infernal devices series as well as the Magnus scrolls. But this is a very different type of series from her usual her dip in the dark fantasy has been a fantastic one. And while waiting for the next book in the series feels like a daunting task. I am truly excited to see what she comes up with next. I truly enjoyed all of the characters and the many twists and turns the story takes us on. And even though I would like to have a prominent main character, and MM relationship. I’ll take what I can get it. I would also like to call out the top-notch voice talent they had for the audiobook both performers did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life and giving them unique and prominent personalities. This book and its predecessor are strong recommend for me. I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

A worthy sequel. Though big events or portions of the story always seem to get run through very quickly and the following chapters are at a different time and a different knowledge base. Often making for confusion in events unless paying attention.

Those events could have easily been written out to increase the length of the book. Hopefully the third has more in depth events as is being laid out, and would be enjoyable to be longer as well.

Narration is top notch as always.

Im so glad this series is something I stumbled upon. Clare was one of my fabourite authors growing up and anytime I pick up one of her books I can never put it down until the last page. This series has not been any different. She captivates you from page one. UGH I love all the characters. how am I going to wait for the 3rd book?

Christian Coulson is amazing.
