Story
Jason Sterling had a simple life by all accounts. He had worked the same job his entire adult life, he had never married and he had no children. He was used to doing things on his own. His comfortable life was shaken to the core the day he learned of his fathers death. It was a mysterious meeting that set life altering events in motion and the allure of a new life was too great to walk away from. Story
When a viral apocalypse kills 97 percent of the people on the planet, the survivors' humanity is hanging by a thread. Amid the leftovers of civilization, ex-Army Ranger Jason Larsen is reminded of the meaning of hope, family, and loyalty by a dog and a young boy who are as alone as he is. The survivors he seems to collect become family, and that is very bad news for those who think they run the apocalypse.

Story
"The Suck" - the virus that claimed 97 percent of humanity - is gone. The arrival of other survivors with a different take on the future may be as dangerous as the virus itself. In the middle, with their hands on the scales, is a group of former soldiers and civilians who survived the virus in Antarctica. They’ve arrived to find a dead world, with no rules. The best-selling story of Jason, Pro, and Rachel continues where End of Summer, book one of the Seasons of Man series, left off.

Story
The West's own governments are giving up, have already lost, or are leading the charge to something else. This doesn't sit well with those who believe in liberty. This is the story of a people who have lost the political fight, they've lost the culture wars, they haven't seen a level playing field in a generation, and they are about to be made serfs. None of that matters. They're leaving....

Story
The story continues; our heroes have made it to Eden, only to realize their new home is one of many Earths. It's a world worth fighting for, but they aren't the only people who think so. Coexistence and peace are alien concepts to a new enemy that doesn't have a word for retreat.

Probably least satisfying of 3 Legacy books
Maybe its just me but Jack is just too damn omniscient and all powerful. Too many "just in time" miracles and perfect outcomes. Not realistic to me. After all of his injuries in Book 2, how could Jason even walk just a few days later? Also, the plot regarding Jack's intentions really doesn't make sense. Still, i was entertained & look forward to the new perspective of Book 4 (when it comes out in audio).

Another great story in the Ranch Series
First of all I must say damn you Mr. Liscom, so many unanswered questions.
I will say I found this series by a accident and I’m so happy I did. Very few books have the ability to keep me so wrapped up I can not stop listening to them. This series is one of the few I find myself not being able to stop listening to. Me. Lanes style of story telling and your outstanding writing just pulls you in and doesn’t let you go. I have already listened to books one and two twice, and once book four is close to coming out I will listen to them all again. Everytime I listen to the books I pick up on something I’ve missed and again am unable to stop listening.
Many have tried and failed to write this type of story. You sir don’t focus on the end of the world but more about the human struggle that happens because of it.
The only bad thing I have to say about this book is the fact that it seemed to go by to quick.

if you're a liberal this probably isn't for you.
I have read thousands of books, and have read many reviews on books. I have never seen so many whinny little babies knock a book over being conservative. liberals have done nothing but insult conservatives and conservative ideas for years. if you don't like a book that's fine but don't get offended when you're called liberal Pansies. I know truth hurts your feelings.
great set of books.

first two and a half books good, last half crap.
I rarely comment but he created such a poorly constructed character. Melissa, I had to say something. Read the first two books and leave well enough alone. it's just such a bad character it ruins the series, reminiscent of Chloe from the left behind books.
