#1 Amazon Best Seller in Epic Fantasy

Long ago, the world fell into twilight, when the great empires of old consumed each other in sorcerous cataclysms. In the south, the Star Towers fell, swallowed by the sea, while the black glaciers descended upon the northern holdfasts, entombing the cities of Min-Ceruth in ice and sorcery. Then from the ancient empire of Menekar, the paladins of Ama came, putting every surviving sorcerer to the sword and cleansing their taint from the land for the radiant glory of their lord.

The pulse of magic slowed, fading like the heartbeat of a dying man.

But after a thousand years, it has begun to quicken again.

In a small fishing village, a boy with strange powers comes of age....

A young queen rises in the west, fanning the long-smoldering embers of magic into a blaze once more....

Something of great importance is stolen – or freed – from the mysterious Empire of Swords and Flowers....

And the immortals who survived the ancient cataclysms bestir themselves, casting about for why the world is suddenly changing....

The complete, award-winning epic series in one volume.

StxLucifer Reviews

It was a very creative magic and fantasy series that didn’t let me down and held me interested into every part of the characters lives

Book 3 salvaged saga; huge investment to get there

Good: I enjoyed the performance which was rich with accents and voice differentiation for different characters. The saga wraps up reasonably well, does not suffer from the scope creep some of the best epic fantasy series in the last 20 years sometimes do. The ending concludes enough to not leave you hanging while leaving gaps for future tales or your imagination. Characters are indeed mortal which I really like, just because an author starts to develop a character should not mean they need to have future chapters or can't be killed off.

Bad: If I had purchased only book one, I would never have finished the series. It was close to the end of book 2 that I felt I was getting anything rewarding. I would rate books 1 and 2 each 2 stars and book 3 as 4 stars. Considering that's 30 hours to get you there is no good. I felt the world stage setting borrowed heavily from other works and especially in the beginning felt very typecast and reductive which is odd because the author later clearly shows he is capable of unique concepts and twists. It was like he was figuring it out as you read. Perhaps that means later books will continue to get better? Much is also taken from our world which isn't always a bad thing but it felt pretty overt.

Great Fantasy novels

Really good narration and story telling. Great characters. You hate the villains and love the protagonists.

It's OK

Reader was decent. Nothing amazing but good.
First 2 books were decent enough, third book was kinda painful, some uninteresting characters that end up doing nothing the the story. Story goes too slow, then stuff happens too quickly. Also clearly planned to have a sequel even if the events of the books are concluded in that one.
