Like most who read the first novel in this series I'm sure, my opinion of Michael Hollister was not great...I mean, he killed Carrie! But as I listened I grew to love Michael, and found myself tearing up many times. I have listened to 3 of the Middle Falls novels and this is far and away my favorite!
Well done sir, well done.

#Audible1 Wow! Absolutely loved this book. I went from hating Michael to cheering him on. It evolves so seamlessly that you want to resist forgiving him but suddenly find yourself smiling and crying for him. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read an experience, not just a book.

I haven’t love a character this much since “A Prayer for Owen Meaney”. It took me a few chapters to decide if I liked the story, then I fell truly, madly and deeply in love with Michael. Shawn Inmon is a masterful storyteller and Johnathan brings each character to life.
I will make a bold prediction and say you will love this book too.

Given what I knew of Michael Hollister from the first book in this series, I wasn't sure I could enjoy this book as much. As a member of a family who was touched by the same evil as what destroyed Michael in his first life, I found it unsettling to say the least to see what had become of him in his first life. And redemption doesn't begin to cover the change in Michael, when the roads of his life diverged... Remarkable. Touching. Just wow! I couldn't stop listening...

I am about to start Book 3, and still amazed by each of the books in this series so far. Simple remarkable storytelling, and great narration too!
