 It's been many months since Rafel ventured over Barl's Mountains into the unknown, in a desperate bid to seek help for their ravaged land. With his father's Weather Magic exhausted, there seemed no other hope. Now this too has died.

Only Deenie believes Rafel still lives, sensing her brother in tortured dreams. She also knows she must try to find him, as only Rafel's talents could heal their land. The prospect terrifies Deenie, yet she sees no other choice.

It was difficult getting into this series after finishing Awakened Mage due to the change in narration, however since it was a new series it wasn't so bad and the narrator clearly listened to the narration of the last books before doing his own. However in this series we switch Narrators in between books, which is not only already jarring but the new narrator is mispronouncing every name and clearly has no understanding of the book she's reading. it's really tough to justify how poorly its interpreted. I would suggest reading this one instead of listening.
