About the Creator

Michele Romanow is a new kind of tech titan: a strong, idealist serial entrepreneur who’s not afraid to cut through the fevered startup mythology. The Revisionaries is a platform for a charismatic young thought leader with the potential to launch a movement like Lean In, inspiring listeners in business and life. Only 34, Romanow is an engineer who’s already started five companies including SnapSaves, which was acquired by tech giant, Groupon in 2014. As a venture capitalist, Michele is the co-founder of Clearbanc, which reinvented the VC game and gave entrepreneurs more than $100M in funding in 2018. She’s ranked in WXN’s "100 Most Powerful in Canada" and is the only Canadian on Forbes magazine’s "Millennial on a Mission" list. Funny, sharp and warmly unpretentious, Michele has been a star Dragon on the hit CBC television series Dragons’ Den since 2016. Michele is a Calgary native and currently splits her time between Toronto and San Francisco.

Very good series of diverse interviews

This was a very interesting series and showed the sacrifice these business owners required for the success they have achieved. Only criticism is perhaps the lack of acknowledgement of the advantages many of the interviewees had starting up through connections schooling etc. That being said there are lots of people who have these advantages and more who achieve little. The perseverance and drive of the interviewees was inspiring. I am a big believer in the philosophy Michele mentions a number of times that good luck comes from hard work.

Enjoyed

I enjoyed listening to this series. The only criticism I have is there is no indication who is being interviewed or their company name in the title. I had to listen, guess at spelling of name and look them up. Otherwise I love listening to entrepreneur interviews. Michelle did a good job.

fantastic series

this has helped me out so much, with reflecting my own losses in starting up and still pushing hard to win, even when the odds seem to be stacked up against yourself, even though I have given up on a few tasks in the past this has inspired me to push harder when the waves get rough, thank you very much, and onto the next book I go.
